Setting goals can seem really overwhelming, so I've been thinking on it hard for the past month. I'd like to lose 1# per week for the next two months so I need some good habits to get there:

• 45 minute walk each day
• Studio Era workout
• Protein target
• 10:00 pm bedtime
• Ankle mobility exercises

If I do all of these things everyday in the month of January, I can expect to be down 4# in that time. I am not focusing on steps in January because on work days I can easily exceed 8,000 steps; I want to walk for mental and physical health, so if that's 30 minutes at sunrise and 15 minutes after eating supper, then that's what I want to do. My Studio Era program schedules 3-4 workouts per week with walking on the opposite days. I want to stick to that schedule so I can see improvement in my physique. It's really important that I eat nutritionally, so I'm committed to my daily protein target of 172 g. I cannot do everything I want to do unless I'm rested, so in bed on time is crucial. The ankle mobility exercises ensure I do not hurt myself doing split squats and lunges.

Canceling The Livestream 😭

So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.

Nathaniel's Medium Rare Pepperonis

Nathaniel has perfected what he calls "Medium Rare" Pepperoni chips. For a more crispy texture leave them in for one minute..but he thinks 55 seconds is the perfect chewy/crunchy texture.

Segovia Pig

Well total miscommunication with the pig for lunch today. 😂 We thought we ordered the whole pig but maybe because we ordered so much other food or because there was only 3 of us they brought us one PORTION of pig and not the whole one. It was probably all the food we needed because we also had blood sausage, fried bacon, octopus, and a bunch of cheeses...but I was bummed I didn't get a picture with one. 😂😂 I took this before from someone else's table thinking ours was on the way still. They cut the pig with a plate to show you how tender it is. The skin was absolutely incredible. They only season it with salt and then pour over some of the broth it's cooked in on your plate. Such an incredible meal.

Happy New Year!! I hope you are so excited for this new year and a new chapter! How many people are participating in World Carnivore Month? What does that look like for you this month?

What is your non-negotiable for this year? This is more than just a New Year's Resolution.... setting resolutions and goals can be motivating at first but often that motivation quickly fades. , What is the one simple thing you are going to focus on this year to help keep you on track day after day after day, even when the excitement of the new year is long gone. The goal is long term health and wellness, what is so something simple you can focus on all year to help you achieve that goal?

I an so proud of each and every one of you for last year and just showing up, even even things didn't go as planned. I cannot wait to see all you can accomplish this year!!!

Happy 1/1/25

I have been thinking a lot this past week. I went into my scale app and went back 5 years. The same pattern happens every year the end of December I would weigh and I am guessing didn't like it and didn't weigh again until January or February. It is just interesting because I drop weight all year and by end of Dec gained a lot back then January/February start again. However I did notice something positive. Everytime I start again in Jan/Feb I was always lower than the year before. I am still down 30 lbs then I was this time last year. This is still been a great accomplishment even though I have gained I am still at my lowest. Starting at the weight I am now is freaking awesome to me. I am excited to get to goal this year. I know it will happen. I have no doubt. That is so exciting to me.

I found a notebook and I had no idea what was in it. It was the picture of some quotes. I feel like I wrote them down and never looked at them again. I am going to try to commit to reading them ...
