Happy New Year!! I hope you are so excited for this new year and a new chapter! How many people are participating in World Carnivore Month? What does that look like for you this month?
What is your non-negotiable for this year? This is more than just a New Year's Resolution.... setting resolutions and goals can be motivating at first but often that motivation quickly fades. , What is the one simple thing you are going to focus on this year to help keep you on track day after day after day, even when the excitement of the new year is long gone. The goal is long term health and wellness, what is so something simple you can focus on all year to help you achieve that goal?
I an so proud of each and every one of you for last year and just showing up, even even things didn't go as planned. I cannot wait to see all you can accomplish this year!!!

Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.
Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Birthday to my sweet Nathaniel, he turns 10 years old today! He is the kindest, sweetest boy and we are so excited to celebrate him today!!

Just a little bloodwork update. About a month ago I posted bloodwork results from my employer clinic. I had more of the same blood work from my regular doctor last week. My A1C last month was 6.5. Today I got the most recent results and it’s down to 5.8!
Happy TuesDay everyone. I'm finally finding time to get on for more than 2 seconds.
I'm in the midst of a 48-72 hour fast. Currently at almost 42 hours. I'm feeling great so I'm thinking I can get to or close to 72 this time around.
I have felt so much inflammation over the past many months and I'm finally in a good place to fast again. I've been cleaning up my diet so mostly beef, eggs, a little cheese, the occasional fish and of course coffee.
I keep hoping sometime I'll get "well" but I was pretty unhealthy. It's like my body gets to a certain point and then lets go of more "stuff" and I feel like I'm starting all over again. I'm not but it becomes another hard push through. So I'm back to longer fasts and very clean eating and as my knee and back allow, more gravel walking & rebounding.
And speaking of being well, I'm home today having caught the on-going saga of this year's sinus crud. I had it in Dec., we've fought it off a couple of times and now Hubby has it like I did in Dec....
