Happy Monday! How are you feeling today? Everything go well this weekend? Any challenges?
I know you have goals/non-negotiable set for the whole year, but Chris talked the other day about how short term goals can be really motivating. Each Monday I like to set a new goal, it might be the same as the week before or maybe you made a small tweak based on how things are going. But I think that doing short term goals and small adjustments like this is so much better than sticking with something that's not working, or making drastic changes.
So what is your one goal or non-negotiable for this week?

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Yes, according to my chiro, I have covid but am over the worst of it. I'm not contagious anymore. My office-mates are not thrilled but in all honesty, I thought it was allergies and by the time I was really bad, it was the weekend.
But today I'm much better and while snorkling and coughing, it's so much better. Farmer is still a little puny but not near as bad I was. He was able to do a little bit outside today (stayed home from the factory.)
I'm 30 hours into my fast. We'll see when I break it tomorrow or Wednesday. I rather think I like starting a longer fast after lunch. The 24 hour mark was while I was at work, so it was easy to sail past the hunger while drinking LMNT.
Exercise? Just errands at lunch and a chiro adjustment.

I'm off to read for a bit and we'll be in bed early. Last night was the first night in a week I was able to sleep in the bed all night.

Happy Sunday! I am headed to the airport early this morning, sad to not be in church with my family today. After everything that's happened over the last week I know it will be a powerful Sunday morning. I am planning to fast today since I will be traveling for a lot of the day, and no work obligations until tomorrow. Do you have any plans to fast this week?
