I have lost over 100 pounds on a Carnivore diet. I share my lifestyle and diet on IG and YouTube. I am looking to create a Locals community for my closest fans/supporters. I want them to be able to connect with each other and have access to exclusive content from me.

Monday, Jan 6th!!

Happy Monday! How are you feeling today? Everything go well this weekend? Any challenges?

I know you have goals/non-negotiable set for the whole year, but Chris talked the other day about how short term goals can be really motivating. Each Monday I like to set a new goal, it might be the same as the week before or maybe you made a small tweak based on how things are going. But I think that doing short term goals and small adjustments like this is so much better than sticking with something that's not working, or making drastic changes.

So what is your one goal or non-negotiable for this week?

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Sunday, Aug 31st

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Saturday, Jan 18th

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Wednesday, Jan 28th

Happy Wednesday!! This has been one of the most stressful craziest weeks of my entire life. I'm running on fumes at this point to be honest. This morning is the last morning of our conference and then I'm sneaking out early because today is Penelope's birthday and I'm desperately trying to get on an earlier flight home in time to see her this afternoon.

I'm sharing a few pictures from my event this week, but I'm sorry to say I have not looked at one post or read one comment since I got here on Friday. I hope you are all safe and warm. I will do my best to catch up as I'm traveling today and once I get home. I hope you all are doing really well and I know you all are here supporting each other. 💚💚

Well yesterday we got a little stir crazy so I took the kids to the YMCA. It was great and we grabbed buffalo wild wings for lunch (I had a gift card). However, 3 miles from my house we got stuck in a snow drift (that was not there when we left). That drift just sucked us right in. Hubby came to rescue me but he got stuck too. I had to call a tow but he got himself dug out (good thing his truck is like a tank). Needless to say I felt stressed eating when I got home so I ate bacon....a lot of bacon. School told us yesterday that we are now obligated to come in regardless if they cancel or not due to contract obligations. Kinda takes all the fun out of a snow day.

Many people buy their meat from local butcher shops. I see people claiming better prices, quality, or sourcing. A few facts about that. Butcher shops are typically more expensive than grocery stores, and their meat is sourced from the same beef distributor. You can literally ask to see the whole meat in the bag and it's from the same 3 or 4 distributors like Cargill. I live the idea of supporting small businesses but the price is usually much higher. We will typically only go to a butcher for odd cuts that stores don't carry or higher grades like prime for special occasions. One exception might be rural butchers that have local sourcing or are the only option.

Do you buy from a butcher shop? What's been your experience? Are we finishing world carnivore month strong?
