Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Happy Wednesday!! I am back to work today after a nice long weekend with the family. Apologies if I have missed some messages the last couple of days. In addition to being off work, my phone has been not working properly so I had to get them to ship me a replacement. I had to spend most of yesterday evening after my livestream getting the new one all set up.
I can't believe it but we are in the final couple days of July already! Most of you know we like to do some reflection at the end of every month before we start setting some goals for the new month.
First thing I like to focus on is 'what went well'. What was something that went well for you this month? What was your biggest win in July?
For me, I am proud that I have continued to stick with movement for the whole month of July. 💪🏼
Two days left in July
What new goals do I want to make for August? 🤔
I have been back to just carnivore for a little over 3 weeks now, and I am quite happy with how I am feeling overall. I enjoy the mental clarity and the lack of food noise that clutters my mind when I am eating carbs. My energy has also improved.
I am trying to decide if I want to add any further goals for August, or just chill, and be happy with being a carnivore, as August is going to be a busy and probably stressful month for me at work. So maybe adding any further commitments to my life isn't the best for that month.
The two options I have thought of adding in are perhaps fasting for 24 hours once a week or not snacking. This month, my only goal was to just stay carnivore, so I do snack at times. Hmm.... a couple of more days to think.
Grateful for this group and the support and encouragement we provide each other.
Drs are frustrating. I am going to rant a min and if anyone has tips I would appreciate it. I have some glucose regulation concerns with my 7yo. Since her symptoms aren't consistent and aren't kinda in your face she said I should just wait and try giving her breakfast (she is a brunch eater). Her sugar one day will be low in the morning (65) then will still be high around 217 2-3 hrs later when I recheck. Then the next day she will be in normal ranges. Finger pricks hurt so I keep them 3 times a day. My husband wants to put a cgm on her for a month and so we can see accurate readings throughout the day without causing drama...lol. Here is a picture of her last night at the splash pad.
