So I went to one of the local Hispanic markets (boy it always smells so good in there) and did not see any rib-eye. I did find a softer version of chicharrones and some sliced beef ribs. Are the same as flanken ribs ? I have never seen this type in the general grocery stores.

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.

Canceling The Livestream 😭

So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.

Wednesday, April 2nd

It's only been a few days and we're certainly missing Laura very much. We're excited for her adventures and trying to create our own here by staying busy. Penelope has been really into learning to cook so yesterday she made homemade chili and garlic green beans. The kids aren't carnivore but they do eat fairly low carb. I'm excited that she picked these options on her own, both very low carb. She's having a blast with it. Next step is getting her grill skills up when she can lift the lid haha.

In the video I did on what I eat, I mention I typically on eat about 4 things in rotation. Totally satisfied with that. What about you? Simple and repetitive or do you need more variety?

I made it through yest staying carnivore and no snacking. Evenings are my hardest time. Roast beef for lunch, eggs scrambled with cheese for dinner. Even did a 45 min indoor walking video (rain here) after dinner. I know I always feel better when I'm making good choices. On to day 2! 💪

Happy April Fool's Day! No jokes from me about giving up meat today, I don't think anyone would believe it! 😂😂 Today starts the conference that I am here to, yesterday was a crazy day of preparation and then happy hours of course that lasted well into the night. Today I had a very early call for sound check and then dinner that will go till past midnight I'm sure. I'll catch up more here in a couple of days when this conference is over.

I hope you all are doing well and are feeling good about setting some goals for April! What is your one non-negotiable goal you are going to stick to in April that will help you be successful?
