Happy Sunday! Can you believe we are just days away from ending 2024!? It is so hard to believe, it went by so fast but also our family did so much this year it seems hard to believe it was all just one year!

As always let's celebrate some wins before we set some new goals for 2025. What has been the best thing that happened to you in 2024? How is your health at the end of the year vs the beginning of the year?

Reminder I am doing a Livestream TONIGHT on YouTube at 6pm est/3pm pst I hope you can join as we talk about January and World Carnivore Month.

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Friday, January 3rd

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.

Canceling The Livestream 😭

So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.

Saturday, Aug 16th

Unfortunately my Mom has been in the hospital this week, she spent several days admitted due to a gallbladder flare combined with a diverticulitis flare. She needed some antibiotics and fluids but is home now and doing much better. She is seeing a specialist next week to see what they recommend.

What's the most sad about it is the food they were feeding her while she was in the hospital. She was on a liquid diet for a couple days, and they knew she was previously a Type 2 diabetic and needed to be careful with her sugar. Despite all that they literally just have her sugar filled items to drink. They gave her a small cup of broth with each meal but then everything else they gave her was full sugar sodas, apple juice, puddings, ice cream etc. It was crazy!! Even after requesting that she has things with no sugar they still gave her the same foods but just switched to a 0 sugar soda. 🤬🤬

The hospital called her to check yesterday after she was home and asked what her sugar ...

Happy Friday! I am so grateful it's Friday, and we're heading into the weekend!

We are officially halfway through August already! It feels like we'll blink, and it will be Christmas! How are things going for you? Any big wins or challenges you're facing this month?

What are your plans for the weekend? Are there any temptations you expy that you're working to avoid? I hope you have a wonderful weekend, get out there, move your body, and enjoy some delicious meat!
