Sunday with the family. A pew-full of love at church. The girls wanted a treat afterwards. I won't name what I had, but definitely not on plan!
Home for leftovers. I had a egg wrap with cheese and some carnivore Snax for lunch.
Lots of steps prepping for the party.
Then all the family here. Again I won't disclose what I ate off-plan, but good things are were hamburger, eggs.
Lots of fresh air (still hot.)
Now we're resting for tomorrow's local town shopping day and a possible baseball game.
Photos of us at church, the kids this evening and the whole family.
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Spent this past weekend in California with some friends I grew up with. Although I wasn't perfect, I was able to make the best decisions I could with each circumstance I was in. Back to life this week and on point with food and exercise. Walked Monday night, gym yesterday morning and jiu jitsu later in the day. Feel back to good already. It's taken a long time to not spiral when I have a little deviation. This is certainly not an endorsement, but sometimes life happens, then the next choice is in front of us. Make the right one. I never call it a slip up or mistake. I own each decision, which allows for self accountability and an easier time moving on.
What are your thoughts on keeping yourself in check and moving the right direction?
I went to Dr since it was day 2 of severe low back pain. Not the normal, “I missed my chiropractor visit pain.” Glad I went, UTI and possible kidney infection. Hopefully in a day or two I’ll be back to normal. Had chicken and a tiny bit of salad for dinner and brisket with a tiny (few bites) salad for lunch. This diagnosis also explains my sudden elevated blood sugars for no dietary reason.
Happy Tuesday! I had a bunch of blood work done yesterday, it's been almost a year since I went to see my naturopath and had some initial blood work done. We were going to recheck everything earlier this year but with my surgery we just kept putting it off. So now we are rechecking all my hormones etc to see how things have changed. I'll keep you posted when I get the results in a couple weeks.
How are you feeling currently? In a groove or feeling stuck? What is your Non-negotiable for this week?
