Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Happy Friday!! How has your week been? It's been a little chaotic around here but all good things. Nathaniel had kids camp at church this week and they had the final party last night. That was CHAOS with 400+ kids and their families 😂🤪 and outside in the 100°F+ heat for a few hours. I was glad to go home to a calm (air conditioned) house. 😂 It was all wonderful I just get overstimulated in that environment.
I am pretty proud of myself this week. With my new walking pad set up I have walked the last 3 days while working. Yesterday I walked 5 miles throughout the day. Today my new Whoop tracker will be delivered so I'll be glad to have a more accurate tracker.
It's Father's Day weekend in the US so Happy Early Father's Day to any Dad's in the group. What are your plans for the weekend?
Ok, so, sitting here in the last few hours of work, the baby’s sleeping, and I’ve got some time to reflect.
Since I Saturday, the only time I ate something non carnivore (wasn’t sweet, just veg style) was at the Brazilian BBQ place.
BUT other than that, this entire week, I’ve avoided all the sweet stuff.
I haven’t had any baked goods or frozen treats.
It’s been hard.
But as I sit here and reflect, Monday through Friday, I’ve worked the whole week and stuck carnivore.
I am so proud of myself.
I’m hoping to do some more meal prep this weekend of egg bites and also pickled eggs and my husband may make meatballs!
Good morning, people. I just realized I didn't post yesterday. Too many "odds n' ends" to deal with. But you are always in my heart! I got my "self-inflicted" job done. So far, I am grateful to see the finished product. The last stage of this process will be how well the meat warms up and tastes after being air-fried and then frozen in individual patties. I also air-fried 2 Lbs of bacon. I cut each pound into 8ths. They are little bacon chips now. I also froze them. This way, if I just don't feel like cooking, get sick, or do not have the time, I can take a patty out, warm it up, and eat it. I just want to hold onto my very good acceptance of the Lion diet, and I know, as in everything, preparation is 9-10s towards accomplishing success. No excuses. Although with each day, I see my B.P. getting lower, no blood sugar issues, good health is finally upon me now. I am grateful to our Father in Heaven for each day. And I see this is a good path to be on. Living alone, I have been looking ...
