Stopping in quick before I go clean the basement bathroom. My life is so exciting sometimes!
Thrilled this morning to find I'm down 4lbs! Now I know most of that was probably water weight due to the junk I was eating last month and now am not, but whatever the reason, it gave me renewed enthusiasm.
Cleaning and piddling around the house today. It's too muddy to do much outside and the Littles did not come out.
Oh and I got some good sleep last night, FINALLY. 10:30-8:30. It was so needed. Hoping to get close to the same amount tonight and a nap tomorrow. That should top off my sleep tank.
We are going back to the rodeo tonight. We're not really horsey people but since our best friends' sil is the coach and they are like family to us, we are supporting our "extended family" as he is rebuilding the rodeo program at UNL. Celebrity watching, got ...
Food so far today
M1: Coffee 2x
M2: 4 scrambled eggs in butter with 3oz of fatty steak bites
M3: ?? We'll eat before we go to the venue.
Ok, the icky shower calls. Later!
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤
*Livestream Monday night at 4pm pst/7pm est
Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Happy Tuesday!! Thanks to everyone that hung out on the Livestream last night. I went on a rant about this new trend "The Sugar Diet", we talked about building muscle vs losing weight, and how to stay on track long term. And Congratulations to @Reene-not-Renee for winning the giveaway!
I have a follow-up appointment with my surgeon today, I am 12 weeks post-op from my arm and back skin removal. I'm also going to the dentist, which is my least favorite thing to do ever. I'm seeing a new dentist today which is giving me all kinds of extra anxiety!! I had so many years of teeth pain and mouth trauma before carnivore that I still just have so much anxiety about going to the dentist.
How do you feel about going to the dentist? Have you noticed your overall mouth and dental health improve eating this way?
Hi I am new here but I am really inspired by your videos . Honestly I have not fully committed . Which I know I need to change ( hubby is doing much better than me ) and has lost 30 pounds . I have been struggling with a hip injury that I had to have surgery on and I have our mom's living with us that are really not on board . I am hoping joining your group will help me get on track
I just listened to the live stream from last night. About doctors, the reason they are looking for something that is wrong is because they get paid per diagnoses. The more things they can find wrong the more money they make. And, every diagnosis is followed with a prescription. Often, they get a kickback from the pharmaceutical company for prescribing. Medicine is big business. It's not health care. Doctors are trained to run tests and prescribe medications. Doctors can be great when you break a bone or have been in a life threatening car accident but we were never meant to be on life long medications that masks symptoms and have a long list of side effects. Ultimately, we are responsible for our health. It's our body and our decision. It's okay to say no to your doctor.
