Hi everybody, I have been a follower for a few months and recently became a supporter. I am 82 and have been carnivore for a little over 5 years. I am enjoying a healthy vibrant life and expect to only get better as the years pass. Last year I developed tachycardia and afib and had many months of my cardiologist trying everything available to get it under control including meds that almost killed me. I was in the hospital five times in seven months. In November he installed a pacemaker that regulates my heart and I began a very dramatic recovery. I have my happy busy life back and my cardiologist and I are thrilled. He thinks the reason I'm doing so well is because of my diet and said he wished more of his patients would do it. For my five plus years I've been strict carnivore, what you guys call beast mode, with the exception of a few months when I tried avocado mayo and mustard and some seasonings. I had to come off all of it and the little bit of cheese i was eating due to joint pain. I have been off sugar for the better part of 35 years and off gluten and grains for about 30. I finally gave up coffee a little over a year ago. I have eaten clean strictly organic since my early 40's so by the time I started carnivore I had slayed the sugar dragon and compulsive overeating. You can find the interviews I did with Judy Cho where I tell my story on YouTube by searching Mary Fields carnivore. I look forward every day to reading your posts. You are all very brave delightful women and men and I'm confident if you hang in there you will attain your goals and be victorious 💪😊
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Happy Friday!! Beast Mode Day 2💪🏼 I got home late last night from my work trip. I am excited to be home with the family and have no travel for a week. I am going to eat nothing but grilled steaks until I get sick of them!! 😂😂
I did have a great productive work week with a little fun mixed in. We did ziplining as a team building activity (another thing I wouldn't have been able to do before because I would have been over the weight limit). I didn't realize it but you had to hike between each of the 10 different ziplines so it was much more physically intense than we originally thought! We also climbed this MASSIVE staircase after 2+ hours of hiking and ziplining. There were 200 stairs basically straight up!!! Plus it was Colorado so higher altitude than I was used to!! So I definitely for my exercise in for the week!!!
What are you doing for movement today??
Made it to my event and got all set up. Dinner was not great… 4 Oz chicken breast that was very dry and ate some green beans. Salad bar wasn’t out and I was looking forward to cottage cheese and boiled eggs. Oh well… I will cook for myself tomorrow. After our evening class there was all kinds of junk food and sugary drinks set up for snacking. No thanks ! Got almost 8000 steps in and am back in my truck!
Happy May 1st and here we go for our Beast Mode Challenge!! I am still traveling for work but I am VERY ready to be home! It has been a long month of mostly traveling for me and my body is very easy for a reset.
My Beast Mode goals are just getting back to simple, clean, and the basics. 0 snacking, very minimal dairy, 2 meals a day, and "enough fat". I am going to go back to having Chris pick my meals for me, which means lots of steaks, chicken (with the skin), and pork belly. I have one trip this month but I am going to bring all my own food, and any eating out will stay very clean and simple.
Who is ready for a reset? What are your goals for this month??
