Happy Sunday! If you didn't know TikTok was banned last night, I have never had a TikTok account so it doesn't affect me at all, but I do know it's impacting a lot of people. Were you on TikTok at all? Apparently there are rumors Trump will allow them to extend operations for 90 days until they workout a long term plan once he takes office on Monday. We don't make things political in this group but it will be very interesting to see how things change overall with the new administration. We already see things shifting with the banning of Red 3, and hopefully we can get the rest of the food dyes out of our foods soon! And I think the Make America Healthy Again movement is going to really start building some positive momentum.

Today we are making my favorite meal, the skirt steak, chicken thighs, and shrimp on the griddle. Thankfully I am still off work tomorrow for the holiday, I am excited to catch up with everyone on a Monday night Livestream at 4pm pst/7pm est (since it's a holiday we'll start a little earlier). Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.

Canceling The Livestream 😭

So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.

Good morning, Tribe.

I've been away for a few days. Work was hard the past 3 nights in the ER. People are getting sicker and sicker and don't want responsibility. You will be amazed on how many of the patients we see only want a magic pill to help them feel better, to keep doing whatever it is that makes them sick. I will risk to say that is more than 90% of the peole that go to the ED for a quick fix. We educate them, and in my case I even tell them that modification to their diets will make a huge impact, but I will see them again the next week for the same reason. And people wonder why are we so burnout. That is only one of many reasons.

I apologize for the rant.

Yesterday I didn't go to bed until 6pm. I was exhausted. Night shifter struggles lol.

I had a little slip with my staying away from cheese. We went to a BBQ place yesterday because I knew for a fact they don't put the BBQ sauce on the ribs unless you ask for it. They put it for you on the side. We'll I saw for the first time in my ...

Still struggling here but I think alot is to do with stress and no family support...and me. I am addicted to sugar and come 2pm I'm ready to face plant into a sugar bowl to stay awake! Plus I'm in a groove (eating what i want) and change is hard and my whys aren't that strong.
I'm going try what other members do and post for accountability. So please bear with me as I come into the forum to try to be accountable and change. I don't know how to post pics etc (tech dinosaur) but I'll just try to post. It's 7.40pm Sunday night in Australia and today wasn't great but tomorrow is a new day.
My new strategies:
1. Planning ahead: today I cooked up bacon and chicken wings in the fridge and will also cook up some meatballs tomorrow and do some brown butter bites to have on hand just in case.
2. Also I feel like I "need" dessert after dinner so I have Greek Yoghurt and frozen blueberries so may have 1 tbs of blueberries with 1/4 cup Yoghurt as a dessert "bridge" till I get stronger.
