The body is weird and I cannot predict how it will react to anything these days. Early December I hit a new low of 164 lbs and I was pretty darn excited and a week later and for three weeks I bounced back up to 168 lbs, down to 167 lbs for a week and now back down to 164 lbs. I am eating fewer carbs at the moment, so maybe that accounts for the drop back down? Who the heck knows! And that my friends is why I take measurements, because they are a much better indicator of progress. Or I look at how my clothes fit. Yesterday I bought a pair of size medium Lululemon pants. A MEDIUM!!! Pretty sure I haven't worn a medium since I was in my early 20s. 😲
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Happy April Fool's Day! No jokes from me about giving up meat today, I don't think anyone would believe it! 😂😂 Today starts the conference that I am here to, yesterday was a crazy day of preparation and then happy hours of course that lasted well into the night. Today I had a very early call for sound check and then dinner that will go till past midnight I'm sure. I'll catch up more here in a couple of days when this conference is over.
I hope you all are doing well and are feeling good about setting some goals for April! What is your one non-negotiable goal you are going to stick to in April that will help you be successful?
Happy Monday! Today is officially the last day of March! In continuing with the reflection on how things went over the last month, today we can focus on places we got stuck or ways we got off track. This is not a confession or a time when you have to list all the things you did wrong... It's a time to take note of how did those slip ups happen and how can you learn from it to make you stronger in April.
And if you didn't write positive thing in yesterday's feed, you're not allowed to talk about the things that went wrong. 🤪 Go back and write what went well on yesterday's posts first before you focus on the negative.
Doing my first 3 day water fast. Currently 50hrs in. I was wondering what your experience is maintaining a loss after fasting. I know with a non keto diet you would gain back water weight after a fast but when carnivore is the entire weightloss more sustainable or should i expect the scale to go up after. Im down 3lbs since the beginning.
