We had such a good time yesterday at the Healing Humanity event. Chris did such a good job on his talk, very proud of him. It's always so fun to meet so many people in real life. The dinner after at the Brazilian steakhouse was chaos but very fun! I didn't get many pictures so if anyone else got some feel free to post them. I shared pictures from some of the other people that spoke.

Today we are going to church and then after that I am going to try and do NOTHING for the rest of the day. I had a really long week at work and just need one day of rest before this busy upcoming week. My Mom also flies home early this morning and is going back to snowstorms so please send her some warm prayers for safe travels. Anything we can be praying for you for today?

*Reminder the Livesream this week will be Thursday evening.

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Happy Monday!! I made it to Madrid yesterday, has some delays but thankfully it wasn't too bad. I actually slept more on my overnight flight than I typically do (I am terrible at sleeping on planes). My coworkers (all female 😂) and I went to an Turkish bath spa upon arrival and got some massages and soaked in the pools (the first picture is what it looks like inside). It was the perfect way to shake off the jet lag. Then we went to one of my favorite restaurants and had some amazing pork belly and picanha. It will be a very busy week but I am feeling good and excited to be here.

How was your weekend? What is your non-negotiable for this week?

Ok so @VeebsKale called me out and I know I need to get better about some things...No promises for every day, but I am going start some accountability posts. Yesterday was good, I had been feeling under the weather the past few days so I did not do my strength workout. I did manage 8500 steps yesterday so I will take it. I even marched in place while ironing clothes haha. I have not been tracking, but I have been watching my blood sugar. I need to find a happy medium so I don't obsess one over the other. I too will cut back on dairy, but I am not giving up my coffee creamer. I can cut back on it though with no problem and not add stevia to it every morning. My calorie deficit puts me at about 1780. I wish I could get out of my head about it... I know I am not going to go hungry. I do not have any food scarcity trauma. The only thing I can attribute it to is my blood sugar going lower. It never gets to the point of no return, and my body always recovers on its own.. I will be working ...

Quickly as I am literally almost in the shower. No time to report because I finished up our tax worksheet this evening to take to the accountant tmw.
Hope you all are doing well. I'll "see" you tmw! 👋🏻
