I have lost over 100 pounds on a Carnivore diet. I share my lifestyle and diet on IG and YouTube. I am looking to create a Locals community for my closest fans/supporters. I want them to be able to connect with each other and have access to exclusive content from me.

Big Day!

Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.

Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Sunday, Aug 31st

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Check-In

Hey everyone, just checking in, we've had a very busy few days with limited cell service, and some orthodontist emergencies 🙃.

Long story short, we were deep inside Yellowstone National Park yesterday (after getting up at 430am to drive there), hours away from civilization and Penelope had a spring break on her braces. She has some big metal pieces hanging out of her mouth so not something that could wait. We had to abandon our plans and drive a few hours to find a dentist to help us get it removed. The dentist helped in a pinch but really couldn't remove it properly so today, while in Bozeman visiting the LMNT offices, we found an orthodontist to help remove the other side and all the pieces.

Anyway, we haven't let it derail our plans too much and we are still having a great time. I'll get back to posting regularly this weekend. Hope you're having a great week.

Free Online Type 2 Diabetes Summit

Many of you know the story of our family, and how Chris almost died and went on to reverse his Type 2 Diabetes. I was very proud to share the story of our family and our lifestyle as a part of the Type 2 Diabetes Summit. In this session I shared not only our lifestyle changes but the physical addiction to food. My main message is that we will never find lasting healing until you address both sides of that coin. I thought being a perfect carnivore would erase my struggle. It didn't, until I addressed both the physical and emotional sides.

Proceeds from this event go to support the American Diabetes Society (the society started by Dr. Berry as a low carb alternative to the ADA). There are so many incredible Drs, experts, and speakers sharing their personal stories at this virtual event, I encourage you to check it out.

Happy "Friday for me"! We get tmw off from work.
I'm still slowly getting well. I'm probably at 85% and my hearing is at 70%. It's interesting how having one of our senses dulled affects the whole person. I find myself having to be more careful in my actions and speech. I constantly feel a little "off" in general.
But, I am healing.
Life goes on here. Farming, ball games, constant prayer for ds1 & DDIL.
Foodwise, I'm keeping it as clean as I can. There have been a few questionable things but mostly on track.
Meal 1 is protein shake iced coffee.
Meal 2 has been beef sticks and either chicken salad or carn snax or a meat patty.
Meal 3 has been steaks or burgers or eggs with yogurt and blueberries or naturally fermented sauerkraut. My gut is a bit messed up after the antibiotics.

Getting evening sunshine and fresh air. Chores, walking and yard work for exercise. Pretty much the usual.

Just wanted to check in. Anyone else get Juneteenth off ? Any great Father's Day celebration ideas?
