Okay I never ask this (and normally I don't care), but this is my first video working with Thrive as a sponsor so I would love for it to have good reactions. If you watched my Fridge/Freezer video and liked it can you go give it a Thumbs up please and even possibly put a comment (not about Thrive just in general). Please 🙏🏼❤️
That kind of stuff early on definitely helps videos be recommended more and can help with views overall.
Thanks!!!
Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.
Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Day 1
B/L: 2 burger patties w/ cheese and bacon
2/3 decaf coffee w/ 85g whole milk and 3 tsp sugar
Diced chicken breast
D: 1/2 NY strip steak and 1/2 air fried pork chop w/ butter
Ok back story, I started eating carnivore at the end of October 2025 and as a bridge I let myself have a little bit of sugar in my coffee because I can’t tolerate any sugar substitutes and I couldn’t drink it black- I tried. I didn’t have it every day though. But after listening to Laura on last night’s live, and watching some older YT videos today, I think I’m ready to give it up and do 100% carnivore. I’ve gone days without it but never completely taken it off the table.
I did have it today but tomorrow I want to get to April without the coffee and 100% carnivore! I did so good for my first 3 months and that was the one thing I held onto and I still saw success but it’s concerning to me why it’s so dang hard for me to give it up. It’s not the caffeine because I drink decaf or 2/3 decaf.
So I am ...
Good Morning! I felt like something different today so I make some egg&bacon mini waffles...basically mini omlets. I loved them. Kids said they were "dry" but what do they know. Haha. I ate a few of these along with a couple juicy eggs. I put beef ribs in the crockpot. I think the family dinner will either be meatloaf (no grain but does have homemade pasta sauce as my 'ketchup" ) or breakfast casserole. Both are winners in this house.
Thanks for the livestream, I missed but just watched the replay. Some thoughts:
