Good morning and happy new year to all!!
Well, here we are. Day one of the year. Feeling a little down. Away from family. Feeling lonely I guess. I will go for a walk and after I will keep watching my marathon of The X files to keep me distracted since I already did laundry and cleaned around the house.
Here's a picture of my last night meal.
I hope you all enjoy your day with family and/or friends.
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤
*Livestream Monday night at 4pm pst/7pm est
The week between Christmas and New Year's is always the most confusing week of the year, I keep forgetting what day it is. 😂 We spent the majority of the day outside yesterday enjoying the beautiful weather.
How are you feeling this week? Struggling to stay on track? Waiting for January 1st to reset? Have you started thinking about your January goals yet?
Here are some pictures of our lunch from yesterday.
Happy Saturday! We are having a wonderful time and enjoying the weather with a house full of people. 🥰 We spent yesterday at the park and ate lots of yummy meat. The kids were worn out by the end of the day!
Today we have my Aunt and Uncle coming over as well to eat skirt steak, chicken, and shrimp. It's going to be a lot of fun.
FYI: Equip started their BOGO 50% off sale yesterday if you need to stock up on anything. https://www.equipfoods.com/?rfsn=7678223.758504 (that's the discount link).
I have a new video coming out today I forgot to post early, so sorry. It's just a basic, "What is a Carnivore Diet", and I answer some basic questions. On Tuesday the 30th I will be doing a Livestream on YouTube to kick off January, World Carnivore Month. I will Livestream here in Locals next on January 5th.
What are your plans for the weekend?
Accountability--lunch hard boiled eggs w/jerky Dinner was 2 beef patties with left over beef ribs and some shredded cheese on top.
MmI found a box of 2 cgms when I was deep cleaning my bed room...left over from when we checked my daughter's blood...my Mom and I decided to wear them together. It's only been 24hrs but she has already noticed a spike. She seemed confused because all she had was a cheese burger plain from Culver's. I explained how it was probably the bun so for dinner she has burger (no bun) and some potatoes. But she was happy she didn't spike. Maybe this will be eye opening for her. Also mine hasn't gone above 118.
