Good morning and happy new year to all!!

Well, here we are. Day one of the year. Feeling a little down. Away from family. Feeling lonely I guess. I will go for a walk and after I will keep watching my marathon of The X files to keep me distracted since I already did laundry and cleaned around the house.

Big Day!

Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.

Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪

Wednesday, September 3rd

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Sunday, Aug 31st

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Wednesday, May 27th

Happy Wednesday! I took a couple rest days while we were at the cabin but was back to walking lots yesterday. It's amazing how quickly you can lose that habit or the desire to exercise. It's so true that "a body in motion stays in motion." Now I very much believe that sometimes our bodies do need rest, but for myself, too many rest days means I will lose the habit I have finally created. And any more than one day in a row of rest and I start making excuses as to why I don't need to do it. It's a good reminder to me to plan ahead to ensure I am getting in some movement during our upcoming vacation.

Hello family. I had one of the worst weekends of my life. I'm still carnivore and as of now fasted over 48 hrs. I'm very sick with some kind of sinus infection that is affecting my ears and with a cough.
And our oldest son and DDIL are separating due to his actions.
Our hearts are broken but we are not without hope.
I'm sure this revelation made my illness worse.
If you prayer warriors would put our family on your list, we'd appreciate it.
I'll try to be around but I need to heal both physically and emotionally and need some time alone with my Father.

So here’s my vacation (5/17-24) update and June Beast Mode plan:

On May 10, I weighed 261.4. My blood sugar was 131 on May 15.

On May 26, I weighed 267.6. My blood sugar was 142.

I have been able to get right back on track with no cravings which is the only good thing.

So here’s my June plan: to eat carnivore, accountability posts daily, track my food, 36-48 hour fast once a week, increase step count to 5,000 per day (I average about 2,000 now), and do 2 short videos of weight exercising 3 times per week. I am going to do measurements this Sunday, weight once per week with a goal of 250 by July 1, and a goal of blood sugar being 120 or lower every morning.

I have contacted a horseback riding instructor about possibly starting lessons which would fulfill a lifelong dream of mine. My reward for reaching my goals is to start lessons in July.
