I have lost over 100 pounds on a Carnivore diet. I share my lifestyle and diet on IG and YouTube. I am looking to create a Locals community for my closest fans/supporters. I want them to be able to connect with each other and have access to exclusive content from me.

Alright guys. I haven’t been on the locals app for quite some time. Was doing so good on strict carnivore! Then came December. Completely off the rails a couple of times now. Those few times of eating off plan and I’ve gained 16 LBS!!! ☹️🤮 I decided to come back to the group because I need your support to kick my butt in gear again! All that hard work for 10 months down the drain in a few days!

Big Day!

Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.

Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Sunday, Aug 31st

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Thursday, April 9th

Happy Thursday!! I made it home last night, but I am only home for a couple days before I have to leave again on Saturday.

Apologies also for all the issues we've been dealing with in Locals. There aren't as many people posting lately but I know a lot of that is because people aren't getting notifications (I know I am not, so it's possible I am missing your questions too), and when we do post the posts are cut off.

After this trip I have this weekend I am going to do some research and see what options we have for a different platform. I don't want to use Facebook or other traditional social media sites, I like that this is outside of social media and can be less distracting. If you have been a part of other groups in different platforms that you like, feel free to share them and I'll do some research.

Busy work day today but at least I am home and can be walking on my walking pad during my meetings. Hope your have a great day!!

Ok, I need some advice. All the research I’ve seen about conceiving at my age (42. But I’ll be 43 nefore we start trying) talks about focusing on egg development. Most of the research says protein and fats are super important to this. They all say that breakfast (specifically within 30 minutes of waking) is highly important to repair any egg issues.

So here’s the questions. I am trying to 36-40 hour fast once a week because I’m T2D. I really want to reverse that and be metabolically healthy before getting pregnant. But I also want my eggs to be healthy too. Those paths contradict each other for the time being.

Should I focus on fasting and just worry about egg quality on my eating days? Should I just try to tackle on at a time and start with my T2D? Any and all advice please.

Twas like Christmas for me this week. We've had our Weber Genisis II for almost 10 years now. It still works fine, but the new ones have some features I really wanted for a while. This week we happened to see the one I want for a deal, plus I get 10% off, free assembly and delivery as a veteran. Saturday the new one was delivered and I couldn't be happier. This one has an extra sear burner and a side burner so I can cook fish outside in a pan. I feel blessed and excited for lots of steaks to come. (Below is the new one and old one.)

What's your dream grill?

If you've tried making the pork belly, let me know how it turned out.
