Chris and I were planning to spend the weekend at the cabin alone while my Mom stayed with the kids. However, the kids have been sick enough that we decided to stay home for now and just wait till they are feeling better. But with that change of plans we have been trying to be productive around the house. We got all of Christmas put away yesterday and hoping to get some YouTube videos filmed for today.
I am doing a Livesream on YouTube on Sunday afternoon to kick off World Carnivore Month for January. That would be a great thing for someone to join who is considering giving Carnivore a try in January.
What are your plans for the weekend?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Nathaniel has perfected what he calls "Medium Rare" Pepperoni chips. For a more crispy texture leave them in for one minute..but he thinks 55 seconds is the perfect chewy/crunchy texture.
Well total miscommunication with the pig for lunch today. 😂 We thought we ordered the whole pig but maybe because we ordered so much other food or because there was only 3 of us they brought us one PORTION of pig and not the whole one. It was probably all the food we needed because we also had blood sausage, fried bacon, octopus, and a bunch of cheeses...but I was bummed I didn't get a picture with one. 😂😂 I took this before from someone else's table thinking ours was on the way still. They cut the pig with a plate to show you how tender it is. The skin was absolutely incredible. They only season it with salt and then pour over some of the broth it's cooked in on your plate. Such an incredible meal.
I decided to get a jumpstart on World Carnivore Month! 🥩🍳🧈🧀🍗🍤🥓
I started in December….
I have been following keto since 2019….
I have been ketovore since 2021…. I learned that vegetables make me feel horrible!
I have never fully committed to carnivore for more than a month at a time…
I haven’t been feeling my best…. Lots of issues with my IBS… lots of pain… hoping carnivore will help… I feel so much pain every day…
I’m committing to 90 days!
December - January - February
I made it through December!
I’m already feeling the benefits after just a month of carnivore! 🥰 but I still don’t feel my best…
I’m sharing my journey to keep me accountable!
Here’s a peek at a few of the meals I’ve been eating this month 👀
It’s been 3 full days that I have been back clean carnivore and I’ve dropped 7.4lbs of inflammation!!!!
Still feeling icky with a mild cold/virus.
I’ve been resting a lot, no workouts, and enjoying lots of yummy meat, some plain gelatin and a small amount of burnt butter bites.
Drove to Costco yesterday to purchase 2 packs of bacon totally 8 1lb packages.
My goal is to be as close to/under 175 by the morning of December 31st, and at this rate I’ll make it - this will mean I will be almost 18lbs lighter than the beginning of the year. Not as much as I could have achieved had I not gone off the rails, but it’s improvement and I’ll take it! And I’m proud of it!
