Okay not to focus on the weather 2 days in a row but today I really am grateful for this beautiful cool weather we've been having in Arizona. It was still in the 90's+ until about a week ago and it finally dropped to the 70's. Chris and the kids are going for daily bike rides and we are sleeping with our windows open which has been so nice!
My plan later is to take a break from the news and the election coverage and go for a long walk outside. I encourage you to do the same. Don't let today get you stressed out no matter what happens! Go outside, get some fresh air, and focus on what you can control. And most importantly, our pastor reminded us Sunday that while it's important to give politicians our vote, the Lord is the one that holds our heart. Today I will be l remember who truly controls the future. 🙏🏼🙌🏼

Nathaniel has perfected what he calls "Medium Rare" Pepperoni chips. For a more crispy texture leave them in for one minute..but he thinks 55 seconds is the perfect chewy/crunchy texture.
Well total miscommunication with the pig for lunch today. 😂 We thought we ordered the whole pig but maybe because we ordered so much other food or because there was only 3 of us they brought us one PORTION of pig and not the whole one. It was probably all the food we needed because we also had blood sausage, fried bacon, octopus, and a bunch of cheeses...but I was bummed I didn't get a picture with one. 😂😂 I took this before from someone else's table thinking ours was on the way still. They cut the pig with a plate to show you how tender it is. The skin was absolutely incredible. They only season it with salt and then pour over some of the broth it's cooked in on your plate. Such an incredible meal.

We use the Vanilla and Unflavored protein powders to make protein pancakes almost everyday. My Mom also used a scoop of the Vanilla in a big cup of hot chai tea in the morning and it's a perfect way for her to get an extra 20 grams of protein in her day.

Good Morning Y'all!! I wasn't planning on posting until tonight but what I'm having for breakfast is amazing. Y'all gotta try this if you love breakfast burritos just don't make to much filling like I did. That being said here's what I did.
Breakfast burrito:
1 egglife wrap
2 oz. breakfast sausage(your favorite)I used jimmy dean
2 eggs scrambled in the sausage grease
1 oz chevre goat cheese.
It's Absolutely Delicious!! Although I couldn't close the wrap to make a burrito. I fold to make a taco. LOL!! Sorry there's bites missing. Not Sorry!! It's delicious!! Plus it kept me from eating the homemade bread I baked for the Grands and my husband. We have the Grands until Friday
Tuesday and a very wet and windy election day!
One week out of surgery and we're taking the walker and a folding chair to the polls today. Maybe people will take pity on us and let hubby move forward in the line. Alabama doesn't have early voting, and the absentee ballot, while it had an option for disabled, didn't have one for pending surgery, so we couldn't qualify. We only have 7,000 residents and we all vote at the same place. Fingers crossed the lines are not too bad!
It's rainy and windy again today so I bit the bullet and ordered an expensive (for me) rain jacket. I figure that having the right equipment to go out into the weather here will be worth it. I was going to replace my 20+ year old windbreaker anyway so we'll see if this will be the key. The jacket still works just fine but the cuffs are so dirty after this long they don't really come clean anymore. I don't mind spending the money if the jacket is going to last that long.
