I have lost over 100 pounds on a Carnivore diet. I share my lifestyle and diet on IG and YouTube. I am looking to create a Locals community for my closest fans/supporters. I want them to be able to connect with each other and have access to exclusive content from me.

Going through Laura's YouTube videos again to remind me of different meaty meals to help me switch things up. My current meals are getting boring for me yet again! Thank you past @Lauraespath for reminding me of the following:

  • beef hotdogs (simple, I know - but I remembered the company that I used to get clean nightshade-free hotdogs from, going to put in a order soon, Force of Nature Meats is the company for those who are curious)
  • your chuck roast burnt ends recipe! (totally forgot about this gem!!!)

What are your go-to recipes when you need to switch things up?

I don't typically love cooking with cast iron, despite the excellent results they can bring. It's messy and smells up the house. Add to that, the one we have is super old and not very good. We were recently gifted a really good one from Lancaster Cast Iron so today I decided to give it a try. We have a side burner on our Weber so I could do it outside. I sous vide a steak, then seared it in tallow on the new pan. Man it was incredible. What a difference it made from our old one. Super easy clean up too. Below is the pan, of course I forgot to take a picture of the steak haha.

Do you love using cast iron? What are some favorites you make in them?

Big Day!

Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.

Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Happy Wednesday! I am headed home already today after work, it's been a good couple days of training here in Houston. On Monday after work I went to contrast therapy (Sauna/Cold Plunge) with my friend Ashley. It was very fun to catch up, and just be able to sweat and relax at the same time. Afterwards we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for wings. I enjoy having some friends in cities i travel. I sauna almost daily at home and recently I've been incorporating it more when I travel. It has been so helpful in me sleeping better in hotels. Soon our pool will be cold enough for me to be able to use it as a cold plunge for the winter.

Do you ever sauna or cold plunge? Any other types of "bio hacks" you incorporate into your daily routine?

This is the sauna I have. I got it on Amazon. It's $267. There are many other options but I like having my head out of the sauna and the freedom to read.
