I have lost over 100 pounds on a Carnivore diet. I share my lifestyle and diet on IG and YouTube. I am looking to create a Locals community for my closest fans/supporters. I want them to be able to connect with each other and have access to exclusive content from me.

Saturday, October 3rd

Happy Saturday! I am leaving this morning to head to Madrid for work, I will be gone for a full week. Unfortunately bad timing because Chris and the kids were gone for a couple days to California for a concert. But they had a wonderful time, they even got to go to the beach for a few hours. We got to hang out Friday and play lots of games before I left this morning. This will be my last big work trip for the year hopefully. I'll definitely be missing my family but I do love visiting Spain. Long day of travel today, and then adjusting to the time zone and prep for work on Sunday (I lose 9 hours going East). I'll be posting some still and Chris will check in when I am not able.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Big Day!

Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.

Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Sunday, Aug 31st

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Friday, October 2nd

Happy Friday! How has your week been? One of the biggest challenges with long term success is not getting thrown off track. We've all just set some really solid goals and made some great plans for October, usually things go pretty well for the first few days and then before too long the temptations start to creep in. The weekends especially can be a tempting time to convince yourself that you "deserve a cheat". Unfortunately for most of us, one cheat day doesn't stay one day, and it can turn into several months of setbacks. It's easier to not have the first day than to try to stop after it starts.

Even if you are able to limit yourself to one cheat day, it's really difficult to make progress when your body is constantly going back and forth between burning carbs and burning fat for fuel. Even though weight loss stalls are frustrating, consistency will win long-term. Stay strong and hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

What is your best tactic for avoiding a "cheat day"?

Thursday, October 1st

Happy Thursday, and happy first day of October. I am so proud of everything you have accomplished in Sept, even if the month wasn't perfect, you showed up and are still pressing forward. October is a crucial month, it's the start of temptations and holidays fast approaching. Be very specific in the non-negotiable you choose this month. Pick something very simple and attainable that can give you a daily win and keep you on track. It's okay to have other goals but pick one non-negotiable goal that you can focus on to stick to no matter what!!

After thinking through all of our reflection from the last few days and looking at your month ahead and possible temptations that might arise, what is your non-negotiable for this month?

Good Evening Y'all!! I have decided this month I'm going to do a strict version of carnivore. I'm not eating eggs and dairy except butter. That's a strict version for me. I'm going to test this until the end of the month. Just to see if I continue to feel better. I haven't had anything but meat, butter, salt, seasonings, diet mountain dew or coke zero sugar and on thursday and Sunday mornings 7brew sugar free iced blonde. Which I change the milk to coconut and have them use the sugar free syrups. I know coconut isn't great but the dairy is definitely an issue. I can do this and be successful. I need to take it one meal at a time. The first two days have been great.
