Happy Monday evening Family!
Sorry I missed the Live. We had a 10U tournament to go to. The boys got second and played so well. And a little Grammie bragging; our #1 pitched so well, had a great hit single and caught a popup to throw out at first. One last tournament over the weekend and we are done for the year. Next on the agenda is to watch them all advance at swimming lessons. #3 was moved up right away on the first day and #4 says, "Its so much fun Momma!" From the one who never wants to wash his hands, this is so funny. (It the texture/sliminess of the soap he doesn't like.)

Ok, enough Grammie bragging. Today finds me at 95% better with my hearing! Hurray!
I had a chiro adjustment today as my sleep was horrible last night with a lower back issue that went to my toes. And numb fingers all weekend. That all feels better also.

Work is worthy of eye-rolling and 👅 and 🤦‍♀️ and 🤷‍♀️; but I'm not going to worry my little mind over it. Not my circus, not my monkeys. Just stayin in my lane and doing what I can within my payscale and job description. (and counting down the months until retirement. We are at 25!)

Accountability
Fresh air/sunshine/exercise/sleep
Yes, yes, walk to the chiro and standing at my desk/terrible

Food
M1: Coffee with protein shake
M2: Beef sticks, clean jerky and cheese chips
Snack: 4 hours of sleep means coffee after work before the triple-header.
M3: A cheese burger from the concession stand. It was interesting. 🤔😬
Snack#2: Greek yogurt and a some blueberries

Ok, off to the shower and bed. And hurray! No early morning overtime for a while, so we get to sleep in until 5:55 a.m. to be at work by 7. I won't know how to react to that!

Sweet dreams!

Big Day!

Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.

Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Sunday, Aug 31st

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Happy Monday!!! We are officially back and settled in! Thankfully we had a very smooth trip (minus the orthodontist issues), but I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Chris and I both weighed when we got home, and after 12 days of travel we both weigh the exact same thing as when we left. 😅 We probably ate more than we normally do, but we also were really active as well (except on the travel days). I don't feel "bad" but I know that after so much travel I'll feel a lot better in a couple days after eating at home and sleeping in my own bed for a few days.

Now today is back to work today, and back to reality, and back to a Livestream this evening!! Share below what your non-negotiable is for this week and then come hang out on the Livestream and we can catch up!!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to Chris and all the other Dad's in this group. Chris is the true MVP of this trip because he's driven the entire time! 😂 We are grateful for Chris, and it's no secret how much he does for our family every single day! He's not getting spoiled very much today since we have our final 8 hours of our drive home, but I hope he knows just how much he means to our family and how much we love him!

How are you spending your Father's Day?

I forgot to post my accountability last night. Yesterday I enjoyed steak, cottage cheese, and a little peanut butter. Now that's out of the house. This week I am doing alternate day fasting so no food for me today. But I am having coffee. I didn't walk yesterday but today I did a arm weight exercise video and got a nice walk in while my tire got fixed. There is a lot of sitting planned for later as my son has a double header to finish his little league baseball career.

We started talking vacation meals and have created a plan that funny enough My husband came up with for our driving days. He loves meatcalzones and has requested those packed. We took them to a family cookout this last weekend and he enjoyed them cold. Go figure.
