I have lost over 100 pounds on a Carnivore diet. I share my lifestyle and diet on IG and YouTube. I am looking to create a Locals community for my closest fans/supporters. I want them to be able to connect with each other and have access to exclusive content from me.

Happy Saturday!! We have a dog trainer coming to the house to work with us 2x a week for the next month, starting today. We are excited about that, Angus is doing great with commands but we want to make sure we are doing everything correctly to avoid any bad behaviors in the future.

Angus is almost all the way transitioned over to a meat/whole foods diet. We've been going slow based on how his bowels are adjusting, and just using the one bag of kibble we had originally bought. I am finding that raw eggs are giving him some diarrhea so we are slowing down on those for a bit.

It made me think about the transition to Carnivore for people as well? Did you experience the diarrhea that's common for people when they first start carnivore? Did you experience the keto flu? What symptoms did you have when you first went carnivore/keto? How long did it take for those to go away?

Big Day!

Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.

Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Sunday, Aug 31st

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Happy Saturday! I am feeling stumped about what to write about today? 😂. In a bit of a funk feeling overwhelmed and stressed in general. Nothing serious going on, just a very busy couple months, which I know is likely true for everyone this time of year.

And since we can't eat our stress away anymore 🤪, what are the coping mechanisms you use when you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed but don't want to turn to food for comfort?

Friday, March 15th

Happy Friday!! Many people struggle on the weekends because so many of us have the mindset of "I was good all week I earned a treat." Or "I worked hard all week I deserve a cheat." But unfortunately even just small deviations on the weekend likely are taking away all the progress that you made throughout the week.

I know a lot of "health influencers" online like to talk about an 80/20 rule, or 90/10 (meaning it's okay to cheat 10% or 20% of the time). But that only works for people who are capable of eating something off plan and then getting right back on again. And usually the people saying that we're never obese or struggled with food in the first place.

This weekend just keep reminding yourself that "it's not worth it", and "I worked hard all week, don't blow it this weekend!!". Even if you're feeling stuck or stalled, I promise you consistency is the best way through it!!

What are your plans this weekend.

Quick check in. We made it to Ohio with no problems. Laura I have no idea how you do it all the time! Definitely not a part of my job I would enjoy at all! I am definitely a home-body.
I did very well throughout the day. I water-LMNT fasted until evening. We stopped for Wendy's and I had 2 burger patties. I stood or walked or moved my feet as much as possible to keep the blood flowing.

Today is the graduation party and meeting lots of family. And getting to spend time with the rest of the Bigger Grandkids. 🥰

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.
