Accountability post:

Weekends seem to be hard for me to stick with my routine of daily posts.

So Friday: fasting glucose 123. Don’t remember food from Friday.

Saturday: fasting glucose 127. Grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, and a Polish sausage. I ate 2 hamburgers and bread cheese. I also tried 100% cocoa chips that had no sweetener in them to dip my orange into as a dessert. It was awful by itself but ok with the orange. I spent a lot of money on that bag of chocolate chips so it’s a good thing they will keep for a while.

Sunday: forgot to do my glucose. We went to Korean bbq for lunch ( a lot of meat but not clean) and 2 chicks of Polish sausage and a orange for dinner.

My fasting glucose this morning was 134.

Weight 282.2. (Started at 303.7 1/5).

I am trying to track my food better. So I might start including that in my posts.

Wednesday, September 3rd

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Monday, March 2nd

Happy Monday!! Well in true Spath fashion we are always busy busy busy!! I am back to work today, and Chris actually leaves on his annual snowboarding trip with his friends this afternoon. My Mom also arrives this evening to spend the week with us to help out while Chris is gone and I am working. Mainly we planned her to come this week in case I had to travel but of course we love when she visits and it's even better that I am home. I will do a Livestream in Locals this week I just am not sure what night yet, I have to go pick my Mom up from the airport this evening.

What is your Non-Negotiable for March? In addition to staying carnivore I am also commiting to daily weight lifting/body weight exercises. Just focusing on 10 minutes a day this month to try and build the habit.

Weekend accountability- I didn’t track but ate clean. Yesterday we went to Fogo and the scale was up today but I ate late and a lot! I’m fasting today- up to 500 cals. I’ll see what tomorrow shows.

Weekend accountability-- we had a busy weekend like usual. Meals were still pretty basic. Chicken and smoked sausage, breakfast burrito bowl on Saturday...Sunday was steak and a breakfast burrito bowl. I did have a little bit of peanut butter tho. I am up a lb for the week but overall for February I have do 7lbs so yippie.
