I have lost over 100 pounds on a Carnivore diet. I share my lifestyle and diet on IG and YouTube. I am looking to create a Locals community for my closest fans/supporters. I want them to be able to connect with each other and have access to exclusive content from me.

Happy Thursday from Madrid. It's been a very long week and longer days, but today is my final day here and tomorrow I start the long trip home. How is your week going? So sorry I know I have been absent this week, I will work on catching up on my flight home.

I listened to a podcast this morning while I was getting ready, talking about the importance of Sleep Consistency, which is ironic considering I am currently in an 8 hour time difference. It mentioned how important it is to go to bed and wake up at the same time daily, and that almost matters more than how many hours you sleep. Your body gets into a circadian rhythm with deep sleep and restorative sleep and going to bed even an hour later than normal throws that cycle off and your body won't get the same restorative rest as normal.

How is your sleep consistency? Do you tend to go to bed and wake up at the same time daily?

Catch up soon!!

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Just hit my two year carniversary. Over the last two years I’ve had a few slip ups but for the most part I’ve been pretty darn strict, almost obsessively. Fasting daily, checking glucose and ketones daily, tracking every bite of food daily.
In that two years time I gained about 12 lbs. I’ve gotten a new type of painful acne. I stil have headaches every day too. I’ve never gotten that amazing feeling everyone speaks of.
When I was doing keto for 5 years, I did feel amazing and had great success.
With that, I’m contemplating going back to keto things here and there. Maybe a little salad every now and then, maybe a few blueberries (which I miss terribly). This week I decided to take some time off from fasting and checking my blood. Still tracking food. It’s been nice to just breathe for a minute though. Sometimes this feels like a full time job.

There's been a lot of headlines lately about a study showing that a ketogenic diet can help reverse mental conditions such as schizophrenia, depression and bipolar. I know of many anecdotal stories that would support this. Unfortunately when the government makes the recommendation, it gets political. Hopefully those suffering will wade through the noise and give it a shot.

Did you notice any mental health improvements with this way of eating? Do you think the societal needle will move?

Since I work for the schools I have to do blood draw every year let's see how high my cholesterol is this year 😁
