I have lost over 100 pounds on a Carnivore diet. I share my lifestyle and diet on IG and YouTube. I am looking to create a Locals community for my closest fans/supporters. I want them to be able to connect with each other and have access to exclusive content from me.

Hi all! Katie here (newbie)! Sorry in advance for the long post. I have lots to share 🤪. I'm a wife, mom of 2 and work full time. I love my life, the lake and traveling! I started Carnivore 24 days ago. Im 45, 5'7 and 340lbs. I have struggled with weight literally my entire life. I have tried every way of eating, lost and gained many many pounds but always go back to the carbs. I do not have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. I do yearly blood work because my work pays me to do it! 🤑 Im thankful for that. I've never take any prescription medication either. In 2018 had my gallbladder removed and then in 2020 had Gastric Sleeve surgery @ 381lbs. I've definitely put my body through alot. I lost 130lbs and have gained back 100lbs. Im a carb addict! I haven't drank soda or tea in over 19 years. I drink 1 cup of coffee each morning with heavy cream. I do like alcohol (weekends), but haven't drank since I started Carnivore and plan to keep it that way for at least 90 days. First 8 days were a little rough with fatigue and diarrhea, but now I have tons of energy. My mood is more stable, NO cravings, or the feeling to munch! This is HUGE for me. Still have diarrhea everyday, but I'm assuming without a gallbladder this may take some extra time to adapt. The Sleeve surgery hasn't seemed to cause any issues. I still absorb like normal because I didn't have the bypass surgery. Because of my weigh gain pretty certain my stomach is back to normal size anyways. The part I'm most struggling with is weight loss. I lost 7lbs the first week which I expected beacuse of fluid build up. I was peeing like crazy! Since then only 3lbs because I gained a pound this week. Im trying hard not to focus 100% on this. I feel great and truly believe in this lifestyle! At this weight I really should be shedding much faster in the early stages. I understand this would be a great loss for many but at my size it's puzzling? I have watched so much content, read 2 books and following many. I haven't cheated once. Eating very little dairy. I feel like just having 1 coffee with cream can't be effecting me that much. I eat redmeat, butter, eggs, bacon, salmon and Ive had porkrinds 3 times with taco bowls. I drink a Saltt packet a day followed by between 80oz to 100oz of water everyday. Im not willing to track or calculate my food. That will drive away. Im eating when hungry and stopping when full. Wondering if there are other heavy weight hitters similar to me that have had similar issues or have advised. Im 100% staying the course! My 20 year old son is starting Carnivore tomorrow with me and Im excited for him. He is me made over but male, lol! My husband is very supportive, but on the fence. He had a heart attack 8 years ago at the age of 42. He had a stent and of course is on all the medication now. He is a smoker and started patches 2 weeks ago. 🤞 That's the first step for him. My youngest is 14 and small, however was diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroididts 2 years ago. He really needs to change his diet too! Im just trying to be the leader and set a positive example. Thanks for listening and providing any advise to similar situations.💜 Focusing and fixing health in 2026! 💪
Katie 😃

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

*Livestream Monday night at 4pm pst/7pm est

Happy Saturday! Big day for the Spath kiddos today; Nathaniel has his first baseball game of the season, and Penelope has a piano recital. I'll share some pictures/videos later.

For lunch we are having 'Moms Favorite Meal', skirt steak, chicken, and shrimp (basically fajitas with no veggies).

Sunday the kids and I are volunteering at church, they like helping out in the baby nursery with me during one of the services. I definitely need to film some YouTube content this weekend before I have a few weeks of travel for work coming up. Monday is a holiday in the US and thankfully my job gives us that day off so I hope to get the YouTube stuff done that day. If you have any requests of questions you have or things I could talk about let me know.

What are your plans for this weekend?

I have been eating more by putting protein in hot water so hot chocolate with collagen in morning making sure i eat 8 to 10 oz of meat at lunch and dinner. This week I have not been able to go to the bathroom when the norm for me is everyday. I think upping my fat to 70% or 75% works better. I was doing 80/20 for so long.

Happy Cold Friday Night Family!

I'm starting to fade now so I'm off to read a bit and then to bed. Tomorrow we are watching at least one of the Littles.
