Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Monday, Jan 5th

Happy Monday!! I am NOT ready to get back to work/real life today. I did some work Friday but it was mostly catch up, and not the whole day. Today the kids/Chris start back on their school routine and I have a full week of work/travel. I leave Tuesday this week and come home Friday. Thankfully though I'll have a car and can plan all my own food this week so staying clean will be easy. My injured foot has prevented me from walking much the last few days, which has been very frustrating. I am hoping to be able to walk daily this week, even though I'll be traveling.

We recently set our non-negotiables for the whole upcoming year. I love doing that but I also find that setting short term goals is helpful in keeping you on track. What is one short term goal you can set for yourself for this week?

Reminder: Supporter Livestream tonight at 7pm est, hope you can come hang out!

Survived day one back from Christmas break! I chose to fast because...well...day one back isn't bad enough let's add in a fast. 🤣 Seriously tho...I didn't want to stress today about food and what/when I would eat. Good thing I did because indoor track practice was moved and threw me off. Here I am walking around the school parking lot like a creep waiting for my son to be done. Beats sitting in a warm car.

Good Evening Y'all!! I was successful again today. Carnivore with no dairy. I also haven't shared with y'all my new night time routine that I'm working on turning into a habit. I'm in bed by 8 pm and I read a book for an hour or two before I fall to sleep. An actual book no screen time. Along with eating a couple tbsps of butter before I lay down. I don't know how to label the work out I did today, but I carried in firewood for our wood stove. In order to do this i walk up and down 8 steps to get in and out of my home. I did that about 10x, because I'm unable to carry in a large load like my husband due to my partial cerebral palsy. BUT I DID IT!! I also walked a mile and a quarter today. I read the Word and fixing to read some more Word. Here's my food for today minus my protein coffee shake. I'm going to work on cutting out the protein coffee shake when I use up all the almond milk, which will be a couple weeks but it's coming. Blessings!!
