It was fun being on the Livestream with Laura the other day. Lots of questions on reversing type 2 diabetes. If I could be of any influence in this world, it would be getting folks out there aware that they can do something about it. Naturally. It's not easy, yet simple.
If you've reversed your type 2, or significantly improved your numbers, let us hear it below.
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

I managed to fast 21-1/2 hours today. I ate a large lunch of ground beef, eggs and ribeye… too large and am still so full. I have to really work on not eating so much when I break my fast. I stayed a little under my calorie goal, but I am just uncomfortable haha. I was finished eating by 2:30 so I decided to set my fasting timer again and see what tomorrow brings. I did a full body strength workout this morning and walked a little over 3 miles after work. Very happy with my day 😊
Hi friends! I’m back!
Life has been changing a lot for me, back in July my family relocated to a different city so my husband could be closer to work (he was commuting almost 4 hours a day 6 days a week). With us moving I had to leave my job behind. On top of that my homeschooled kids wanted to try public school out (there is a super cute tiny school a few doors down from our new house) they’re thriving, my husband is thriving. I feel like I’m grieving my old life, like everything changed so much so fast. Both of my “purposes” are gone now.
SO I guess that was a long winded way of saying I’ve still been carnivore, but I’ve had many slip ups lately, definitely emotional eating. I just feel a bit lonely now that I’m home alone all day, I’ve had a very hard time finding work in our new city.
I’m happy to be back in the locals group, I need community again more now than ever. ♥️
Happy Monday evening Family!
I had the most lovely, quiet, non-stressful day!
Which I needed after our cattle roundup last evening in the dark. I only like bovine on my plate!
We had one out, which Farmer got back into the pasture. Then we had 2 calves escape from the pen back out into the pasture. (Their mothers were in the pen.) We ended up hauling all but those 2 pairs, home.
Not my most favorite thing to do in the glooming, then darkness.
Today was quiet and gloomy with clouds, rain, mist, fog. I combated the sad/gloomy feeling by turning on all the lights and Christmas music. I straightened the house, did laundry, rebounded for 15 mins, found a mouse in the trash cupboard!, straightened up the basement play area and storage room and decorated my front porch.
I'm 24 hours into my fast. It's not an easy one this time but I'm continuing on. LMNT has been my friend today.
I made Farmer some sloppy joes on chaffles with dressed eggs on the side.
Tonight I'm on-line shopping. Tomorrow ...
