I don’t know why I’m struggling so much! Well, probably because I just need to stay off the carbs 100% to get the food noise to go away and stop telling myself a little won’t hurt. I am NOT a moderator, when will I finally learn that?!?!
I ate clean yesterday, but was way over calories but I don’t care about that. I got on the scale to keep myself accountable. I’m mad at my lack of discipline- not the scale.
My Tuesday yoga instructor quit, my Thursday one is moving to Tuesdays but not until January so the only class I’m doing now is weights on Saturday so I need to make a plan to add more on my own which I will do later today. I have many DVDs for both wts and yoga and there’s the machines at the gym. There is a Zumba class that looks fun but I have athletic skills, not dance skills so we will see. 😁
I’m tracking everything again and will pop on here before bed for accountability. Have a good day everyone!
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Laura's on a 36 hour work trip so the kids and I are solo, then I'm off to California for the weekend for some boys time. Below is lunch the kids and I had yesterday. Nathaniel is obsessed with chili lime chicken so I made him some, then a NY strip and bacon cheeseburger patties for Penelope and I. We miss mama but she's out there crushing it for us. This weekend when I'm away, food will be a challenge but I'm at a place where my friends respect it and always have some options around. I'm sure I won't be perfect, but it won't be a spiral that's for sure.
It's supposed to rain here all weekend (very rare), what's your go to when you can't grill or just want something comforting on a dreary day?
Happy Veterans Day to @ChrisSpath and all the Veterans in the group and in your families. Share below if you are a Veteran or if there are any Veterans in your life you want to honor today. Thank you all for your service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Happy Wednesday Night Family!
First: I have great news! I have been offered a bookkeeping job (basically data entry). I asked you all to pray with me about this. It will include a $2.00 p/hr raise from my current wage. I have not read through all the details but just getting the offer took such a load of stress off of me! I literally prayed this morning that I would wait on God's leading and if nothing happened, I was ok to stay where I was. Perhaps I had work to do there. I'm eager to see what He has for me to do in this new environment. So keep praying for a stress-free out-boarding and an easy transition.
The only down-side will be leaving my current boss. I love him like a brother but I just can't work at this job anymore. He'll take it hard and I hate to leave him in a lurch, but it's not my company and I didn't make this problem. That is all him and they will find someone to take my place.
Ok enough about all that.
Carnivore life is ok. I'm not sure if it's the stress or ?? , But I'm ...
