Happy Tuesday! Yesterday we had a fun day with Chris's aunt celebrating her 90th birthday (it's on Friday). We went for a drive up to see all the beautiful fall leaves in the Aspen groves near Flagstaff, and then went out to lunch. The pictures don't even come close to showing how beautiful the leaves are in person.
Overall it's been a very rainy weekend, I didn't get many steps in yesterday due to the morning and afternoon rains. But I am sure I needed a rest day anyway. Still a bit off on my schedule but getting closer to normal sleep/wake up hours.
Reminder I am doing a Livestream tonight for supporters here in Locals at 7pm est, hope to chat with you then.
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤
*Livestream Monday night at 4pm pst/7pm est
Another quick stop-in.
Please keep praying for our machinery. Rebuke those demons of destruction! 2 different problems with the combine, 2 different mechanics & repairs. And the truck decided to act up again, but I prayed over it and it shifted like it should. God is good, and never gives us more than we can handle. He allows everything for His glory and our good, but it's sure hard in the not knowing why we need to go through this. Still, we are blessed and all is working now. You might pray for my Farmer's nerves too.
Fasted 22 hours. With all the stress I decided to stop and eat a healthy dinner. Cheeseburger and dressed eggs. Between these breakdowns and work stress, the last thing my body needs is fasting stress.
Ok, I'm off to read and bed. Stay strong and keep moving upward and onward.
And some inspo for you all. The pink one spoke to me.
Hugs!
Hi everyone!
I am still alive and eating Carnivore although had a “side step”-as Veebs calls it- this past weekend. A lot of hurts and went to the wrong sources for that bit of joy. 🤦🏼♀️
It’s my moms birthday today- she died 5 years ago this month. It was my birthday last Wednesday and her last voicemail to me was wishing me a happy birthday. How great it was listening to her voice but I miss her so!
I’m back on track today. I had the day off of school and caught up a bit around the house.
I am now well into my fall activities and just joined a gym so have been busy but want to make time to cone here for your support and accountability. 😁
Good Evening Y'all!! Praise The Lord I got word today that my surgery is a go since I'm now taking Armour Thyroid. I had a feeling when the surgeon said that my pcp had to approve the surgery due to elevated TSH, which to me wasn't as high as it was in April; I knew it was I was either gonna be put on a prescription or surgery would be put off and then the cancer threat really would rise if the surgery was put off any longer. I will be off of Armour as soon as I'm healed from surgery. I hate prescriptions but I'm thrilled I will be getting this surgery. Blessings!!
