Happy Monday! I am kicking off my week of work here in Madrid. We are doing all day training sessions with the teams here. I will make sure to get in a walk after work each day. The one downside is that dinners here are very late (which I don't love eating late) and they will have group lunches so dinner will be my best chance to eat meat. While meal timing is a challenge here it's very easy to stay carnivore with lots of delicious meat options.
How was your weekend? Are you starting today feeling good or needing to get back on track? What is your non-negotiable for the week?
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

So, I have been wanting to post some pics for a while but just never got around to it, with working p/t and helping with my little lovey grandbabies on my days off……not much “down” time.
However, I wanted to share, especially for people, mostly mid to upper aged women, like myself, who need encouragement that it CAN BE DONE!! I am 69 years old and thought I would NEVER look or feel, as good as I do again, having tried EVERYTHING you can think of, short of weight loss meds, to try to release the weight. But as you can see, pictures don’t lie! I am BEYOND thrilled with my progress so far, I am down 47.5 lbs., since Jan. 16th of this year, still have 30-40 to go, but I KNOW, I CAN do it and WILL get there. Carnivore has been LIFE CHANGING for me, in SO many ways, scale and NON SCALE victories. My energy level is amazing, no more huffing and puffing going up and down steps and hills……such a BLESSING. And thank-you, Laura, for being an inspiration and encouragement, when you ...
Happy Sunday! I thankfully was able to get some great sleep last night so hopefully the swap to the 9 hour time difference is easy for the week. I have already had some amazing food here and plan to go to some of my favorite local restaurants this week.
What are you eating today? Doing any prep for the week ahead to set you up for success?
Happy Saturday! I made it to Madrid, it was a very long trip but I am happy to be here. I traveled here with one of my co-workers and after a nap she and I are going to a spa to try and shake off the jet lag. 😂 Tomorrow too is mainly just a day to adjust before we start work on Monday. I am excited to do a lot of walking around the city and enjoy the beautiful weather.
What are your plans for the weekend?
