Thanks for hanging out on the Livestream last night. If you need some motivation for how to be consistent, or need any meal ideas watch the replay. 😂😂 We covered both of those topics pretty in depth.
One other thing we talked about changing up our routine and creating new habits, and starting to change your lifestyle by setting one non-negotiable at a time. This gives us a quick win and helps us build some momentum. Then once we are feeling stronger with that goals we can set another one.
What is your non-negotiable for October that can help you stay on track and build some good habits and long term consistency?
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Hello everyone. I’m posting this for accountability, it’s probably going to be a long post so thank you ahead of time to those who read it all.
I have started and stopped low carb countless times, literally I have no idea how many times I’ve started and failed. I’ve always made so many excuses why to stop low carb. I’m sure how all addicts do. I know I can not moderate and have to abstain. Many of the times I started low carb it was with the intention of eventually becoming carnivore but I would ease into it. Not today, it’s payday and I’m doing a big carnivore haul. My kids are 4 and 3. I prepped them a couple days ago for today by saying the Sugar Fairy was coming (last night). We need to eat less sugar and processed foods and we’re giving it to the Sugar Fairy. The last few days whenever one of them would have a sugar high I would tell them it’s from the sugar and that’s why the Sugar Fairy was coming. They’re young but I’m wanting them to see how sugar negatively ...
Happy Tuesday! Today is the last day of September! I loved hearing all your celebrations yesterday, thank you everyone for sharing. Tomorrow we will set new goals for October. Before we do, the second part of our reflection to think about our setbacks from the last month. Not to feel shame or confess them but we reflect on our setbacks so we can learn from them and hopefully avoid it next time.
What setbacks did you have in September? What could you do differently to avoid that setback next time?
Livestream tonight at 7pm est, hope you can make it!
Hello Friends! Hope everyone is doing ok. I’ve been here, just quiet. BUT I think for my sanity and progress I need to get active here. As usual my life is crazy and this upcoming month is bringing big changes. The last 2 years have been crazy and I feel like it’s been nonstop with no time to process anything. In that time I lost both my parents, my MIL and my oldest sister. I also had ankle surgery twice and was stuck in a toxic work environment. I am happy to say that starting on October 20th I will be working remotely, same company, different department. I am also having a 3rd ankle surgery on the same ankle cause everything they had fixed tore again. Recovery time is 6 weeks no weight bearing and then 4-6 weeks with the boot. At least this time I’ll be training while recovering so I’ll not be going crazy because I’m only making half of my salary. Hopefully time will go faster too since I’ll be busy. Food wise I’ll not be too tempted since I’ll be in my ...
