Last Day of July!! 🎉🎉 Today is the day we reflect on where we got stuck this month, and lessons learned from that.

I have an appointment with my naturopath today, I want to get some updated bloodwork done. My cycle has been a bit wonky the last couple months. I swear my body just wants to weigh more than I want it to. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Anytime I go "beast mode" and really focus on weight loss my hormones tend to get a little off. Now that I have this naturopath to work with I want to do some blood work to be proactive and see if that's happening. Even as long as I have been doing this it often seems like I take 2 steps forward and one step back. But as I continue to focus on being more active it's a good reminder that I need to give my body some extra fuel.

Is there anywhere you are currently feeling stuck? Or any setbacks you learned in July, and what are you going to do differently because of that?

Saturday, Jan 18th

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.

Canceling The Livestream 😭

So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.

Good morning, Tribe.

My rings are too big. I am now having to wear small gloves because the medium ones are big on me. My scrubs feel lose and I am enjoying lots of energy.

I'm happy with those NSVs. Hope you're all having a good week.

I committed to carnivore this past January and had some bumps along the way at social events and some emotional issues.
However, now I’m finally at the point where I’m comfortable saying no to foods and drinks I don’t want. Note I didn’t say “can’t have”. That was a game changer for me. I CAN have whatever I want, I’m an adult and have money, but I don’t WANT those foods anymore. They will put me in the ditch and have to go through withdrawal all over again. It’s easier to say it this way to others too- I don’t want the salad or _______- it bothers my stomach, I don’t want a drink, I don’t sleep well if I do…

I’m not ashamed of being carnivore around others anymore and being weird. I don’t care if I still am overweight and it’s a slow process. I need to take care of me, do what’s right for me. It took me 6 months this year to get to this point (plus 2 years of carnivore-ish because I just couldn’t commit).
Stay strong friends, keep trying, keep starting over because it’s worth it.
