We had a very special time yesterday, we took some lovely walks in the woods and the kids got to have an amazing experience with some raptor birds (Penelope is holding a baby owl and Nathaniel is holding a 12 year old Harris Hawk). We are driving back down the mountain early this morning in time for church. I am feeling very grateful we could have this time with my Mom making some wonderful memories. Chris's aunt also came and had lunch with us yesterday, which was a special visit.

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.

Its been a lovely restful day.
We had communion service with lots of great music. Home for lunch and naps (mine on the porch, love it!)
A little retail therapy online and then into to town to care for the kids' chickens. 4 eggs today and 3 yesterday. I need Chickens!! (Farmer says no! because they draw rodents and you know me and mice! 🫣 )
Dinner out at our local Mexican restaurant and a walk down to hear the city bad playing in the bandshell.
Now home for some reading and early bedtime.
I started my 42-48 hour fast if anyone wants to join me. I'm back on Lion diet for the next 3 weeks before vacation. Rebounding or walking starts up again tomorrow too.

Happy Saturday!! Yesterday the 5 of us went to In-N-Out for lunch and we had 38 burger patties between us all. 😂 (They are 2oz patties). We all went on morning walk and then another walk in the evening.
We are headed to an arboretum this morning to enjoy some time outside. We'll be back in time to grill steaks and chicken for lunch! And of course check out the local Farmers Markets.

HAPPY FRIDAY! 🎉 We came up to the cabin yesterday with my Mom, I am excited to spend a fun (cooler) weekend up here. Last night we took a 1.5 mile walk together with all 5 of us, then Chris and I dropped off my Mom and kids at the house and made the same 1.5 mile walk again. We even did a sprint up the last big hill, Chris is pretty fast for an old man. 🤪😂
We plan to just spend lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend. What are your weekend plans?
