Happy Tuesday!! I hope you are doing well, I'm looking forward to catching up this evening on the Livestream.
I was able to do a little workout at the hotel gym last night before my evening event, and then I'm teaching a session this morning before heading home.
What are your plans for today?!
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤
*Livestream Monday night at 4pm pst/7pm est
Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Happy Saturday! Chris is out of town this weekend so the kids and I are mostly just hanging out. They have some plans with friends and then we'll volunteer at church tomorrow in addition to going to service. We will likely go to the Greek place after church Sunday and get kabobs for lunch since it's not Chris's favorite place to go. But we mostly will just be playing lots of games and doing puzzles all weekend.
What are your plans for the weekend?
The past 2 weeks were crazy with vacation and family- my son came up from Florida with his GF and stayed with us for a week at the lake. She definitely passed the lake test and he better not mess things up- we love her!
I did well almost the whole time but had an unexpected stress/hurt and went to some food for joy to feel better. 😖Since then, I have put a plan in place. I did it in private so everyone still thinks I’m 100% meat and I was able to pass up to situations where food/drinks that I don’t have any more were offered- WIN!
Also, I water skied yesterday- I wasn’t sure I’d have the strength but I did it. I got up on my second try- haven’t skied in years.
I will be better at being involved here once I get home. 😁
It's finally happy on this Saturday. We had a very powerful storm roll through around 4 a.m. with 90 mph winds and rain. We have a tree on our house, but thank you Father God, no real damage. We were without power for 16 hours. Again, thankful for the generator.
And we dealt with an electric fencer at the pasture all day. Over 140 miles in 2 trips to get that sorted out (finally just bought a new one.)
Kids came out so DS could help check pasture fences for downed trees. The grands and I helped our elderly neighbors pick up branches in their yard. (the going rate is .10 per stick, they all made over $20 and earned another dollar and candy bar from Miss Sharon & Mr Loren.)
It was a long day so I'm off to bed. Thankful for protection here. The no power was an inconvenience but we were all safe and no real damage.
Night all!

Full disclosure: I ate the pizza, crust and all. I was starving and tired and I figured I worked it off with all we did all day long. I'm not sorry and ...
