Happy Tuesday!! I ended up not eating at all yesterday and decided to just fast for 48 hours. Doing an impromptu fast because I am so busy is when it's the easiest. I skipped breakfast because I thought we were going to have an early lunch, and then my lunch window got booked with meetings. By the time my work day ended I just decided to push through and go to the sauna etc and wait and eat today. I even ended up walking 7.5 miles on my walking pad throughout the day. I made sure to load up on some extra electrolytes with the exercise and the fasting.
I am actually going to a hotel near our house for today/tomorrow, I need reliable Internet for work and we are still experiencing outages today. Chris is going to get a new company installed tomorrow but not until then one of my work day, hopefully that fixes the issue. I'll have to go to the hotel gym and do my walking there since I won't have my walking pad. Chris offered to being it to the hotel for me so I could walk while I work but I am not quite that crazy. 🤪 🤔 We did talk though about how funny it is how obsessed I get with things. I am just an ALL IN or ALL OUT person.
What does your fasting schedule look like this week?
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Happy Monday! We are officially halfway through the month and our last full week before Christmas. How are you feeling? I am behind on YouTube content for the month and going to film some videos today and tomorrow, let me know if you have any topics you would like me to address.
Most important thing in the upcoming weeks is to take things one day at a time. One bad day doesn't have to send you on a spiral for the month. Keep things simple , focus on protein first, and move your body when you can. What is your non-negotiable for the week?
I read everyone's post every day and so enjoy keeping with you, but I rarely post so here's an update. After a few months of eating homemade L routeri yogurt and sampling things like almond butter and broccoli I hit critical mass and tail skinned into a crisis of serious joint pain and eczema, something I haven't had since I started carnivore almost 6 years ago. Plus headaches, sneezing and congestion. I had to go back on an antihistamine and stop sampling. I'm much better but not completely symptom free yet. Only one thing seems to work for me and that's strict carnivore. Oh, well, as I've said many times, when I get to heaven I can eat anything I want, anytime I want and as much as I want. Meanwhile, I will stick with carnivore so I can enjoy a healthy active life. Tomorrow my twin sister and I will be 83 so it won't be that long before we're in heaven. Right now we're enjoying our lives and each other. God is so good!!!
We had a eventful weekend. Yesterday we had Christmas with my husband's family. We took Laura's meatballs but we ate steaks before we left. It's funny how I still know where all the sweets are but say those are poison...inside my head. My oldest started playing piano at church as a sub for our current pianist. He was very nervous but nailed those Christmas hymns!! Finished with a freezing walk during scouts. It is supposed to get down to 3° tonight.
