I know it's been talked about in this group recently but who would be interested for a Beast Mode challenge for May? 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️ I know I personally am in need of that. Traveling so much the last month has caught up to me and my body is ready for a reset and to be extra strict.
"Beast Mode" isn't just a specific list of rules I can give everyone to follow all the same protocol, because we are all different and need different things based on where we are in our journey. It's just a way for us to all set our own rules for ourselves and get strict together (we can help you figure out what the right protocol for you is if tou are unsure). Maybe you need to cut out diary, or coffee, or processed meats etc. Or maybe you just need to focus on cutting out sugar right now or some other treats that have been throwing you off. It's about doing something hard for a month to help you get back on track, break a stall, or just focus on healing.
You don't have to decide today ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤
*Livestream Monday night at 4pm pst/7pm est
Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
The beast challenge couldn't have happened at a better time! Freezer is stocked with beef thanks to a local farmer. I have zero excuse not to stick with it!
it's 1pm CA time I fasted 21 hours, with coffee/decaf black and with MCT/butter
1st meal; Sardines 1 can, 3 fried eggs, 3 slices bacon and I was really satiated.
2nd meal will be later Wagyu ground beef I love that, my current favorite.
Threw out heavy cream several days ago effortlessly. There was no: I should, I have to, I need to, I ought to just simple bye and thank you. Celebration.
😇💕
No heavy cream will be my number one for our May beast Mode commitment .Number two will be small eating windows and 3 OMADS weekly.
Being 62 I'll take fasting on the lighter side, meaning staying mostly in a range of 20 to 48 hours max to not loose to much lean mass. I also look for what's sustainable instead of a quick fix. 💖
