Happy Monday!! If you can believe it, after one night sleeping in my own bed, I am unfortunately headed out for a work trip for the next few days. Poor timing that was out of my control, but thankfully I was with Chris for the weekend and get to have 24 hours at home with the kids before leaving later this afternoon.

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.

Good morning friends! I'm still here and still working towards my goals my days have just been packed with work, family, church music ( we started a choir so a lot of practice time) and more work... when I get a little down time I end up taking a nap!Our second gala of the year was on Saturday night, it was great and we are $60,000 over our budgeted goal for the event so we will be able to grant more wishes this year which is a huge win!! Final gala May 17 and then my life will be back to a more normal schedule. I will absolutely try to get here more often, I need to make it a priority!! Hope you have a great Monday!
It was beautiful outside yesterday and as I had mentioned, I was up at 4:30am and did not stop until 6:00pm. I deep cleaned the inside of our cars and got my camping gear aired out and organized. Our garage needed a good organizing and purging session too. Hubby grilled rib-eye and filet for our early dinner and it was so good ! I am so sore this morning from all of the bending and moving of muscles that I don't normally use. Like @Veebs I have not been doing my strength training..I had a feeling that would happen when the weather started getting nicer. I want to work in my yard when I get home and play with the grandkids if they are outside. I am going to commit to at least a 20 minute workout in the mornings Monday through Friday alternating my upper and lower body. I will have to move that alarm to 4:00 instead of 4:30 ! 💪
