Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes, I felt very special yesterday and got to lots of fun things with my family. Today Chris and I leave for our trip to Cabo that I was awarded through my job. There will be some work events but we should still be able to relax a lot. To be honest I really need it. The last few months have been a rollercoaster for me with work and that causes so much mental and emotional stress. I am really looking forward to disconnecting this trip and using it as a mental reset.
When I am traveling I normally still write these morning posts or I pre-schedule some ahead, I am sorry to say I didn't do that this time with how hectic the last few days have been. I am going to fully step away for the next few days, I know you all will understand and even moreso I know you will continue to support each other in mine and Chris's absence. Please continue to engage, encourage each other, and use this group for accountability. I will catch up when we get back! ☀️🌊⛱️👙🩴
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.

So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
I'm so blessed to have a partner on this journey. We support each other and hold each other accountable. It would be much more difficult to do this without that, and I am so grateful. Laura and I feed off of each other, literally. There is one are I'm disappointed in. This past weekend we went to Wild Fork, a new meat store, I picked up one of my favorite treats. A big hunk of Chilean sea bass. It was incredible. Not only wouldn't she eat some, she complained about the smell for 3 days afterwards 🤪. She's so missing out but I won't stop having it from time to time. For her, I may take some steps to mitigate the smell haha. Just playing of course, she's my rock, fish or not.

I met a friend for breakfast and thrift/antique store shopping yesterday. The last time we met she was curious about the health changes I had made...sadly she had not made any of those changes since I saw her last year. This year was the same discussion with "I really need to do something" and then she ordered crepes with the gooey strawberry glaze and whipped cream covered in syrup for breakfast 😱. It looked so gross to me. All could think of was what that would have done to my body ugh. Anyway, two positives to report, my stepdaughter is living with us and has gone somewhat lower carb. No bread, or refined carbs or white sugar. She will eat fruit and vegetables though. She was telling me about how much better she was feeling, she has lost 15 pounds in about 3 weeks and she had some comparison pictures and wow the difference is amazing ! I am so happy for her. The other positive was an NSV for me at the thrift store.. I wanted some dressier tops besides t-shirts and I went to the ...
Accountability Post - possible trigger warning:
Sitting in my car outside before I head into work and feeling so blah.
Got the monthly last night and today is very uncomfortable.
Managed to avoid the donuts this morning, despite the cravings.
Drank some bone broth this morning as I was up early.
Nothing but sugary carbs sounds appealing.
Heavy whipping cream does but alas I have none.
Couldn’t stop at Starbucks to get some, because, as husband pointed out yesterday, I’ve spent $88 there in 10 days!
Food for today: I have 3 eggs with me and 1lb of ground beef, should make work lunch for today and tomorrow.
I also have a little butter and Tajin seasoning.
My NN for today is no tea 😭
But I know this is for my own good.
I need a hug, a hot bath for 2 hours, and a blanket to curl up in the couch with, but alas, I shall adult today.
