Accountability post: My non negotiable for September was to post my macros every day and I made it. 🙂. By tracking macros, I learned a lot. For instance, todays macro show 22 carbs but they are from protein powder and dairy. Time to fine tune what I eat. On to October!
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤
*Livestream Monday night at 4pm pst/7pm est
Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Happy Saturday!! The kids both had an amazing time this week at their camps, Nathaniel was at a robotics camp and Penelope had a theatre camp. This is the first weekend in a while we haven't had many plans. I have a short work trip next week again so we mostly just plan to take it easy today and hang out as a family. We have a couple good meals planned this weekend and I am volunteering to tomorrow at church as well. I need to film a YouTube video this weekend but not sure yet what to make it about. What are your plans this weekend?
I will do a Livestream Monday evening here in Locals for supporters.
To my plant lovers out there... As in garden plants. My wildflower bed is starting to go to seed but I was able to cut a bouquet for my table. Then my herbs. Rosemary and oregano in one and basil and thyme in the other. (The rods are to keep the cats out of the pot.) And finally my elderberry bushes. They are loaded with heads again this year.
We've had a full day of puttering around the farm, celebrating the 4yo, water fight, potato digging.
I did some rebounding as I'm pretty inflamed from the stress and non-carnivore foods.
Lunch was carnivore Snax brisket and pork rinds and Paleo valley beef stock.
Supper will be cheesey meat loaf made with chicken flour instead of bread crumbs. And deviled eggs or shrimp for the side.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Hug!
Camping meals night 2! Kids had burritos bowls for breakfast, leftover burger patties for lunch (kids enjoyed a ham/turkey sandwich on sourdough I bought at the farmers market), dinner was steaks!! For snacks we brought jerky and fruit for the kids. Happy to say all the fruit is gone. Our 7 yo I am pretty sure ate all the bacon single handed...lol
