Accountability post: My non negotiable for September was to post my macros every day and I made it. 🙂. By tracking macros, I learned a lot. For instance, todays macro show 22 carbs but they are from protein powder and dairy. Time to fine tune what I eat. On to October!
Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.
Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. Happy Saturday!! We are in the calm before the chaos in terms of construction and repairs, several people coming to start fixing things Monday so we are trying to find have a normal weekend before we have to deal with that for the next few weeks.
I am taking Penelope to lunch and a musical today and Chris and Nathaniel as the going to hang out. Church tomorrow and then I will do a YouTube Livestream in the afternoon. Hope you have a great weekend!

My sister and BIL are here for the week. When I started carnivore 2 weeks ago, I knew they were coming. I initially was going to start after they left, but decided to start then. I’m kind of wishing I would have waited, but here we are! We’re headed to Mackinac Island on Tuesday for one night. I’m hoping I can stay on track! I know island food is super expensive! Any tips or tricks?
Happy Friday! If you are on Instagram and saw my stories you'll know that we had an insane 24 hours yesterday. Long story short, as we were going to bed last night we realized we had a pipe burst inside the wall and our whole bedroom floor was flooded. It was the pipe behind the toilet in our master bathroom. We turned the water off overnight and thankfully we were able to get a plumber out in the morning to fix the leak. After all our recent issues with the other leak (in the same bathroom) and all the mold issues, we are getting a full remediation company out here to do some water removal and clean up. Unfortunately it's going to be a long process and take several weeks until we get our bedroom and our toilet back. 😭😭
Oh and another fun discovery, a nest of EMPTY reptile eggs was found behind the wall when they went to repair the leak. 🤢
