Saturday, Jan 18th

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.

Steak video for interest. 🤪

Do you do better with short or long term goals?

Canceling The Livestream 😭

So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.

Sunday, Aug 3rd

Happy Sunday! I ended up doing a big closet purge yesterday, mostly it was just clothes I don't wear anymore. I got rid of my big clothes a long time ago but I also had a decent amount of clothes that I was saving from a few years ago when I was my smallest. I kept telling myself to hang onto them "just in case", but it's taken me a long time to accept that's not my goal anymore and I could let go of those clothes.

My Mom has been doing a lot of cleaning out of her closet too, she's getting rid of anything that doesn't fit her now or more than one size in either direction. At one point I had clothes in my closet all the way from a size 20 to a size 4 and everywhere in between. Why do we hold on to clothes that don't fit us anymore?

Have you done a clean of your closet yet? Keeping clothes that are too big or too small "just in case"?

@Karas-Stanley I'm not doing real well today on my eating. I woke up in pain and have developed a migraine that has made me sick to my stomach. So I have drank a olipop ginger ale and ate somethings I shouldn't have trying to get the nausea under control. I plan to get back on track tomorrow. I have reached my protein and fat goals today. I'm eating a new york strip and shrimp for dinner. Plus I had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Plus tuna salad for lunch. I'm finding that I'm currently having to eat three times a day to get in the amount of protein I need.

I noticed some members are using carb manager. It is the app I use to track meals and carbs. If any of you would like to add me as a friend and or an accountability partner I would love that. My account name is MeeShell. I have just recently made the change of low carb to keto with the plan of carnivore next month. Doing Dr. Westmans carnivore class starting Monday to help me with the process. My issues are not weight related but are GERD, rosacea, chronic constipation, mild allergies and mild arthritis. My allergies are much better after reducing carbs to 75 to 50 daily and I went from taking an allergy pill(s) every day of my life to none. So I am committed to the path to see what else can be resolved.
