Day 16 Beast Mode Carnivore Challenge 🦁 💪🏼
**Supporter Livestream Wednesday at 5pm pst 8pm est.
I hope the fasting is going well for those of you that did it yesterday. It feels good for me to be in my routine and I felt super productive yesterday with all the extra time!
My dental hygienist that always cleans my teeth has seen a bunch of my YouTube videos. (She found me by accident a free years ago). 😂😂 Yesterday while she was cleaning my teeth she had all kinds of questions for me. (Which is super awkward when her hands are deep in my mouth! 🤪) She was asking about cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, and fasting etc. All the kinds of questions people ask when they hear about it. She said she does dirty keto and she feels so much better when she's she's really strict. I bet she's full Carnivore before you know it. 😂 It's been fun to see her evolve over the years and ask me more and more questions.
Do you have people in your life that have asked lots of questions? Any that have come around and given it a try? It can be really frustrating when those in our lives are not willing to give carnivore a chance even though we know it could help them so much. 💔 But hopefully if you are open they will come and ask you for information when they are ready. Tell us some stories of people around you that have shocked you by giving Carnivore a try. And we'll keep praying for those who aren't ready yet! ❤️❤️
Yesterday we surprised the kids and brought home a puppy!! They have been begging for one for years and we felt like the time was right to bring one home.
Meet Angus 🐕 He's a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel mix. He's 11 weeks old and currently weighs about 8 pounds, he should be around 35 pounds fully grown. I know it will be an adjustment for a while as he gets potty trained etc but we are so excited. 😂 Wish us luck! 🤪
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Hey everyone, just checking in, we've had a very busy few days with limited cell service, and some orthodontist emergencies 🙃.
Long story short, we were deep inside Yellowstone National Park yesterday (after getting up at 430am to drive there), hours away from civilization and Penelope had a spring break on her braces. She has some big metal pieces hanging out of her mouth so not something that could wait. We had to abandon our plans and drive a few hours to find a dentist to help us get it removed. The dentist helped in a pinch but really couldn't remove it properly so today, while in Bozeman visiting the LMNT offices, we found an orthodontist to help remove the other side and all the pieces.
Anyway, we haven't let it derail our plans too much and we are still having a great time. I'll get back to posting regularly this weekend. Hope you're having a great week.
Many of you know the story of our family, and how Chris almost died and went on to reverse his Type 2 Diabetes. I was very proud to share the story of our family and our lifestyle as a part of the Type 2 Diabetes Summit. In this session I shared not only our lifestyle changes but the physical addiction to food. My main message is that we will never find lasting healing until you address both sides of that coin. I thought being a perfect carnivore would erase my struggle. It didn't, until I addressed both the physical and emotional sides.
Proceeds from this event go to support the American Diabetes Society (the society started by Dr. Berry as a low carb alternative to the ADA). There are so many incredible Drs, experts, and speakers sharing their personal stories at this virtual event, I encourage you to check it out.

Happy Monday! We made it to Big Sky, Montana yesterday, WOW it's so beautiful!! It just feels like you are in a movie all the time. We grilled steaks and just spent lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather.
The house we are staying in is owned by LMNT, so it has all kinds of electrolytes and wellness goodies everywhere. Plus all kinds of natural soaps and laundry soaps etc. They host a lot of meetings here so one of the walls upstairs is a huge dry erase board so the kids are having fun drawing on it.
We sat in the sauna 🥵 and took turns doing the cold plunge. 🥶 Today we are going hiking and white water rafting.
How was your weekend? What is your non-negotiable for this week?
