I loved hanging out on the livestream last night, next time I will plan to stay on a little longer to try and help since I know not everyone can join at the same time. Remember if you have questions I didn't answer or if you weren't able to join you can ask them anytime by making a post.
One topic that came up was Food Addiction, and the question was asked about tips for overcoming food addiction. I talked about it a bit and mentioned a couple podcast episodes where I discussed the things that helped me the most. Years ago I listened to a few episodes by Dr. Cywes that were very impactful for me and really helped me understand my mindset with food. We had him on CATG a while ago and I had him talk about all those key things he had shared that meant a lot to me. The first podcast link below is that episode.
I also shared the Butter, Butter Butter episode in light of the conversation we had yesterday on the live. Unfortunately because of our schedule's we just haven't been able to record new podcast episodes but there are still a lot of great episodes and most are still applicable to today. If you are wanting to dive deep that is a great place to start.
What other resources and things have been helpful for you when learning to overcome food addiction??

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤
*Livestream Monday night at 4pm pst/7pm est
Happy Thursday!
@JerriOConnor posted an awesome Before and After picture yesterday and encouraged everyone else to do the same. So today let's do that!! Any before/after pictures you have post them below to share some encouragement to others. And remember that not all transformations are noticable in pictures so feel free to mention any unseen benefits below too!!
This way of eating can feel isolating and sometimes restricting, but when we see how it's transformed others it can help keep us motivated and encouraged.
Have a wonderful day!
Happy Thursday (Friday for me!!)
I'm fasting today (8p.m.yesterday) until I decide to stop. Ear is still plugged and struggling to hear is exhausting. I have a whole new appreciation for those who deal with hearing loss constantly. 🙏🏻
I'm working on my plan to clean up my life, mentally and physically and emotionally. It's time to take charge again. Back to fasting, rebounding or walking, eating very clean and being aware of what I put before my eyes. I hope to do this for 90 days with the exception of Thanksgiving and then only one treat. This should take me to Dec. 22nd and allowing myself a holiday treat.
I can do this! I can do hard things! I've been strict before and thrived and I can do it again!! 💪🏻💯
Happy Thursday!
We have our annual company picnic today. I have no idea what they will be serving. Last year I think is was BBQ pork maybe, I forget. I got one of the books in the mail yesterday. It is small and I am excited to just receive the information. I am still finishing up my other book. Hopefully I do that this weekend and then I can start on these new ones.
I made some chicken soup. One day I just had burgers and over easy eggs. Both meal were amazing to me lol
Have a great day!
