Nathaniel and I cooked lunch today while Chris and Penelope were at Jiu Jitsu. Just some behind the scenes footage.
Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Happy Wednesday! Thanks to everyone that joined the Live last night, we had a lot of fun. We mostly talked about breaking weight loss stalls and how to find your own version of "Beast Mode" for weight loss. I wish it was as simple as me telling everyone the 4 things they need to do in order to lose weight fast...but in this group we know it's more personal and nuanced than that. Slow weight loss can be very frustrating, but in the long run keeping it off is much more important. And being healthy should be our number one focus.
I know not everyone here is trying to lose weight also. But healing works a lot the same way. Often times it's 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. How do you balance the need for weight loss vs health goals vs finding a sustainable lifestyle for yourself?
Good Morning!! Today is Ash Wednesday and although I am not Catholic (my Mom is) I grew up doing Lent and all the things. This year I determined I need a beast mode...esp after listening to last night's live. I love to snack on cheese and I haven't been doing a lot of walks because...well...snow🤣. I plan on staying BBBE for over lent but also adding in walks and ab Exercises daily. Just 10mins I can squeeze that in. I only need that last 20lbs lost (maybe 30). I felt great during my beast mode last May.
Side note our upstairs bathroom is all done except the trim! I am so happy with it and it is a huge improvement from before (80s drab).
Good Wednesday morning crew! Yesterday was busy with work, then we hurried home to clear out the home office because we are getting new flooring today! DS2and the gs came out to help. After that, Farmer hauled manure and I did the usual chores and housework. Don't know how many trips up and down the stairs.
My sleep was horrible last night and I only got about 4 hrs. It'll be early tonight.
