Fasting?

Fasting today: I have about 7 hours of meetings back to back with no lunch break so it should be a pretty easy day for me to not eatv and complete an almost 48 hour fast. Anyone else joining me or trying something new? If you are joining don't forget to have some electrolytes (even just salt in your water will help). Keep yourself busy and stay out of the kitchen...if you have to cook for your family then do it not during meal times when you aren't hungry (they can warm it up later!) If you get hungry have some water and wait 30 mins (and go distract yourself), it often passes and you realize you aren't actually hungry it is just routine. I use the Life Fasting App and have a free fasting circle if you want to track with the group. https://lifefastingtracker.app.link/mz07P7MEgxb

Also reminder to not push yourself if fasting is not right for you or if it will cause you to be triggered/stressed. (Or if you have been having carbs or under eating).

What is current fasting/meal routine? 3 meals a day? Two? What type of normal eating/fasting window do you have?

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.

What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?

Sunday, Aug 31st

Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.

For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.

Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Happy Wednesday!! I posted my video with Neisha Berry yesterday, I really enjoyed the conversation with her. I just appreciate Neisha because she just keeps things simple and isn't worried about what people think, she just openly eats what works for her. I agree that Carnivore is a spectrum and over time things might change, we might eat leaner or fattier, we might add veggies or fruit, or cut our dairy, or go back strict to heal or reset.

No judgement from me at however people eat, I just want people to be honest with themselves about what they can tolerate (physically and mentally). Are there foods you eat regularly that aren't "Carnivore"? Any you absolutely need to avoid even though they are "healthy"?

Good Evening Y'all!! I got back on track today. I had been doing great, but the news i got yesterday about my 61 year old cousin really getting close to meeting Jesus just hit me real hard, along with all the other stuff. But Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus! I'm back on track today. I'm keto currently. Working my way into strict carnivore. Plus I'm currently recovering from a total hysterectomy and salpingo-oophorectomy(fallopian tubes and ovaries).

Hi! Not much to post. I’m eating well other than too much dairy. I need to get back to my cheeseless burger patties.
My breathing is so much better yesterday and today- even after running outside with the pups.
I’m still trying to get a couple 24 hours fasts in but food is so good and the next few days I have social events. Maybe next week. 😀
Have a good sleep all! Small group and then bed for me!
