One of the things that is so hard about the Holidays is that so many traditions are centered around food. Those traditions can be very emotional for people to break ties with, yet trying to still participate in them can knock us off the wagon for a while.
We have worked hard over the last few years to create new Carnivore related food traditions, however, focusing on our favorite non-food related traditions can make things a lot easier. When I focus on the non-food related traditions it can make the holidays still feel really special without me feeling like I'm missing out on something.
What are your favorite Holiday traditions that have NOTHING to do with food?
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Thinking about the year ahead can be overwhelming when it comes to goal setting. For some people, like me, short term goals can be much more motivating. Right now it's beast mode through the Meetup this Saturday. That said, I do still have long term goals for the year. Staying carnivore is just a given now as it's my life already so I have to dive a little deeper for me. I'd like to stay in the same weight range but lower my body fat a bit. Gain some muscle mass in short. Gym at least 4 times a week and beast mode at the same time is my recipe.
Steak video for interest. 🤪
Do you do better with short or long term goals?
So sorry guys, my 2 1/2 hour drive home from the cabin is turning into a 5+ hour drive home so I am not going to make it in time to Livestream tonight. I'll post the link for the Dr Berry Livestream for tomorrow when I know it. I'll catch up on posts here when I get home if you have any questions.
Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well! I found some great looking chuck roasts at Costco yesterday. I am going to be cooking them today as some meal prep, what's your favorite way to make a chuck roast?
Good Afternoon Y'all!! Today is a real struggle for me. My Papaw has been in heaven 15 years today. I sure do miss the most important man in my life besides my husband, my Son, my Grandson, and my father in law. I'm not eating bad just struggling with missing him. So if I don't put my accountability post up later it's because I ended up in bed early. Plus I have to cook for tomorrow for a church family who lost a loved one. Gonna be a rough start to this upcoming week.
So, my fiance and I started working at the same hospital again and he was talking with other nurses about process foods and diet. He mentioned my name and how I am more strict than he is when it comes to being carnivore. Suddenly I found myself answering questions to curious nurses who want to lose some weight. Of course I told them about @Lauraespath and this group. Hopefully they will find it is a good way to lose weight and be healthy.
