Happy Friday Night All!
This will be quick as it has been a very long day.
Up at 5 a.m. to be at the first store shortly after 6. It is a farm store but the crowd inside was like the old Black Friday craziness with check out lines wrapped around the interior of the store. Farmer and I used our TnT strategy of stalk someone for their cart in the parking lot and then get in the check out line while we took turns getting what was on the list. We were in line for 45 mins.
Then on to a couple Big Box hardware stores. We had no list for those but still found things to buy. Funny how that works. 😆
Then to Sam's for a total of 7 items and 4 were non-edible. (Softener salt anyone?)
Fast food lunch, home for a nap for him and on-line shopping for me.
Then chores which I though we would be done early as the winter storm is coming and it was FREEEZING and spitting snow pellets. I did home chores and he went to feed those 2 crazy cow-calf pairs off-property.
And then that call... "THEY ARE IN THE BARN! CALL Son#2!!"
The men got the cattle home, while the Littles and I played restaurant and made their supper.
Crazy day with so much going on but we are all very happy the cattle are home! I am holding firm to the promise from Farmer that we will get rid of all but 4-6 pairs next year. I'm done with this hard work and he needs to be too. (Prayers appreciated that he will actually do this. Old Farmers don't change easily.)
I'm ready to go take a shower and head to bed. Tomorrow we are suppose to have snow all morning, so we'll stay snug and warm inside as much as possible.
Sweet dreams!

Cheese is good! I ate a block of chipotle oven baked cheese with lunch yesterday and it was divine. I love it, but know that it halts any progress I'm making, and will even trigger eating in excess to where I'll gain weight. It's sad but I have accepted it. If I eat it in small quantities with a meal, it's ok, but I really have to work to keep it in check.
What's your favorite cheese? How do you incorporate it? Do you see negative results when eating it?
Happy Sunday! Sharing a video today from our week, one of the highlights. This was Wednesday evening church, normally they have a more casual prayer meeting where someone plays the guitar, but they were doing some construction in the fellowship hall so they had their prayer meeting in the sanctuary. No one was there to play the piano so my my Grandma did it, she's been playing the piano in church for probably 80 years.
For context, she's 88, she had a really bad fall 5 years ago now and hit her head and ended up with a lot setbacks, similar to having a stroke. She has a lot of dementia like symptoms also (I am sure related to her Type 2 diabetes), she really can't read music anymore, and she has trouble seeing well, and she needs to wear hearing aids to hear but hates wearing them, so on this night she didn't want to wear them. My 93 (almost 94) year old grandpa takes care of both of them on their farm. Anyway, on this night she sat down on the piano and led worship as people called ...
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all doing well. I know some people in the group have had some recent tough news for themselves or family members. It really puts the day to day issues we face into perspective, and reminds me to just focus on doing the best I can to be as healthy as possible. To those who are having a hard time, we are all here for you and sending you some prayers and support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Just focus today on doing the best you can and remember that food isn't going to bring you the comfort you are looking for.
Here is a little video of Penelopes performance from her piano recital l last night, she's been taking lessons for about a year and a half. 🎹🤍🖤

Happy Friday! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We had a very relaxing day. I went for a walk in the morning, Chris's aunt lives in a nursing home near our cabin and she joined us for the day. We had a wonderful lunch, played games, and watched some football. When Chris drove her back home the kids and I went for a walk. I saw a big elk during my morning walk and the kids and I saw him again in the afternoon. I did actually get dressed and wear make up at some point but I didn't get any pictures of that. 😂 We finished the day with a campfire in the backyard, it was a very special day.
How was your day? No matter what you ate, or didn't est yesterday today is a new day. Are you all doing any shopping today for "Black Friday"?
